Staff was great. Friendly and polite. Food was so amazing. They have pictures of what the building was used for before the resteraunt. In one of the pictures it used to be a gas station and in another it used to be a garage. Which the building still has the big doors in the back from when it was a garage. It was cute and had a great view of the mountains on a rainy foggy day.
Unfortunately, my omelette I ordered was made with spoiled eggs and ruined my hashbrowns. I didn’t eat my meal so the waitress offered to take 30% off my families total bill but then she only took off about 5%. They also didn’t offer to remake my meal or bring me anything else. Didn’t feel like complaining a second time. Left hungry and disappointed.
Great as always
We got in, got a table right away didn’t seen all that busy. We placed our order and waited a good while for anything. I think we waited 40-50 minutes just for our food, which wasn’t anything crazy. 2 BLT’s, an omelet and a wrap. In that 40-50 minutes no one came over to say anything to us. The only TWO times we talked to the waitress was when we ordered and when she brought out our food. We weren’t checked on once while we had our food. To top it off, 3/4 meals weren’t made how we asked. The omelet she set down on the table was BLACK. It was so burnt you could smell it. Why even bring that to a customer? I would be embarrassed to set that down in front of someone. And we know it’s not the waitress’s fault at all but it was just not a good time there. We were really looking forward to eating there since we haven’t been since it reopened, but it was just a horrible experience.
This morning I got sausage egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast from Carms. For their sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches, Carms uses sausage links rather than sausage patties. My personal preference is sausage patties for a breakfast sandwich. That being said, the sandwich was still pretty tasty (you can't really go wrong with a sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich!) and the service and the atmosphere were both phenomenal, so overall it was a positive experience.

Drove 35 minutes to try this restaurant when walking in there was flies all over the restaurant along with dead bugs and flies on window sil.Waited 45 minutes for 2 incomplete plates. No cheese on eggs but cheese on bill .Onions forgot in hash browns and sausage was not on plate ...when brought it was cold inside and onions were raw.Food was bland. Ketchup bottles were dirty along with shakers had to ask for different ones.Overall one of the worst experiences I've had.

Good breakfast food, a little slow on service. But sometimes that is all right not being rushed in the morning.

What a gem this place is! I was thrilled to discover a Monte Cristo on the menu, and it came with a little dish of maple syrup for dipping--so delish! My son got the corned beef hash breakfast and really enjoyed it. All of the bread was homemade. They also have biscuits and gravy and shrimp and grits on the menu; it was hard to choose! The two of us ate a very filling brunch for what it normally costs for one person to eat these days, like they never jacked up their prices when everyone else did. It was under $24 for the two of us! The server was very friendly. There were booths and nice window tables inside and tables outside as well. I highly recommend a breakfast or lunch stop here on your way through the Hilltowns!
Kid-friendliness: This is a very down to earth place with plenty for a kid to eat.

Just grabbed an excellent breakfast burrito on my morning commute. The first of many, I’m sure.
Everything about this spot is 100% amazing. The staff is lovely. The outdoor seating is quaint and fun. The indoor seating is like a step back in time. Everything that I have tried from their menu has been just perfect. We go most weekends for breakfast at least once since we found Carms!!!!!!!!

I don't know what's worse. The bland food or the smell coming from the hallway of the bathrooms. Dude's back there cooking adjusting his Sweaty Sack without washing his sweaty ball smelling hands before returning to cook food. "It's not hard to notice with an open kitchen." Seemed quite focused on the show playing on his phone that was able to be heard in the dining room. I couldn't finish my oatmeal was grossed out decided to pay and left. Good possibility we won't be returning to this place.
