Misono is a Japanese restaurant located right off of VFW Parkway in Brookline, I've been coming here ever since I was a small child and have experienced many things.
One thing that stands out is the presence of a koi pond within the restaurant, which brings a big deal to the atmosphere. Service is also friendly and able to remake orders if needed, though the staff are very knowledgeable and don't tend to mess up orders.
The food however, can be hit or miss. They specialize in Japanese, but do have Korean options as well. I've tried many things, such as the sushi, bibimbap, kimchi stew, spicy udon, and many more. I liked the spicy udon and tonkatsu from here, as well as the sushi. Prices are on the more expensive side though, but the quality is pretty good. What I didn't like are some of the specials, like the Hwe Dup Bab, which just didn't taste right even though its chilled fish. Most other dishes are average good, not outstanding but not bad either.
Misono is a nice restaurant to go to while in the area.
This is a lovely clean restaurant with great food. My food was served hot and fast.
I went today and had the pork katsu lunch. The price was high for a lunch and the service and food quality were lacking.
A night out with some friends from work with decided to come in and eat at this restaurant. We check out the menu menu before going in. We noticed it look very delicious..
Two complains about this place. , the waiter is rude. She doesn’t know how to speak to customers, no manners. I think her name is Sue. I spent almost $200 that night. It was almost 7:30 and two of my friends wanted to order some sushi to go. The waiter said it was late. I couldn’t figure it out. What kind of response is that in a place is trying to make business
The only thing it was great it was great was the sushi I ordered. The rest of the food was awful taste. I have eaten asian food however this was Awful. I don’t think I will be returning. This restaurant is less Japanese than anything else
I have been going there for years and the Korean food never fails always excellent and the sushi needs I say more.
Chicken Pad Thai used to be excellent. This time it is dry and tasteless, including the chicken.
One of the worst meals. Waste of money. Dinners didn't have all the ingredients and it was not edible

I have been here a few times since it is close. I am not a huge fan. It’s not bad at all. It’s just kinda average, and with sushi etc. average is not what you’re looking for.

order some sushi and roll to go, the sushi roll was ok, but the fish that you could tell not very fresh. I would recommend to order roll instead of sushi.

Lived in Chestnut Hill for 2 years. This was my favorite local spot to eat by far! Great food and service. Shout out to Jackie, who is one of the best waitresses I have ever met! Super friendly and always recognized me as a regular!
