Oh my goodness, what a journey and adventure back into time. The old Strand movie theater in a quaint little town on Main Street! a jewel with many stories in the past. Entering this theater it feels incredible! The lights, the decor the ambiance. This theater has it all, history and class. When one enters it is all decorated with a giant Nutcracker statue that greets you and when entering you have a beautifully decorated Christmas tree floor to ceiling lit with golden hues of sparkling lights. Then to your left and then to your right decorated staircases with elegance. When entering where the movies area where the movies are shown, there are seats with tables that one may snack or dine on while watching the movie. There is a snack bar where one may order food, drinks, pizza and much more, we had the haddock sandwich and meatball sandwich it was delicious! We had a great movie , great food and a trip back in time.

For the price of a ticket, the food, and some libations...it's a giddy experience. Hot food, cool drinks, a good bass on the sound, a big screen... What's not to like? They have little tables every few chairs so you can put your food or beverage down... They aren't particularly current on movies that are just out (which is great because my guy and I got to watch '1917' for the third time in a theatre), but that can also be considered a boon. They show movies that are quite the nostalgic throwback, and occasionally they have live comedians. This place is a staple of local entertainment, and I'm glad it survived pandemic lockdowns.

We are so happy we found The Strand. We love the cozy vintage feel of this movie house and grille. It’s the cleanest theater I’ve ever been to. The food is delicious here. We will be returning back often. Thank you!

First time back since COVID. Everyone is still so friendly. Beer selection is great. Pizza was a bit better before. Popcorn was yummy. 20 min turn around on food. So happy they are back showing movies.
Nice place Nice Owners but they need to fix there food problem. I have been 4 times and every time the line is so long. It takes 40 minutes just to order you food. Then you have to wait 20 minutes longer than that. Then wait again in the pickup line. By the time you get your food you missed half the movie. Unless you get there 20 minutes early then you can eat you food well before the movie even starts.Also the Line can be slow when buying tickets.

Love this place. They show current and classic movies. We go every July to see Jaws on the big screen. They've got food, beer, and wine available. Love going to see the classic horror movies in October too. Always fun.
