September 2025 Update - Still our favorite. LOVE the expanded space and expanded offerings.

We were looking forward to checking out Melody Maker and it did not disappoint. Delicious food, excellent coffee, chill vibe, and Zach was super friendly and cool. Can't wait to go back!

ETA: Melody Maker continues to be our go-to for a coffee (and snack) treat. Staff is very friendly. We enjoy checking out the rotating art displays and were excited to purchase a piece of art from a local talent. MM is a hidden gem in Clinton!

This place rules. Great atmosphere. Great coffee. Great people.

They will NOT tell you where their bagels come from. You WILL want to ask because their carb halos transcend every other option. DON'T ASK. Instead buy more bagels. Problem solved!

I have been visiting The Melody Maker since the Water St days and Zac? Zack? Zach? (promise I'll eventually figured it out) and crew are always bringing such family and friendly vibes everytime you step inside the establishment. Don't go as often to the new location, but the cold brew and bagel and lox are still hitting. If you are a guitar aficionado and a morning glutton, go to Melody Maker.

Melody Maker Coffee in Clinton, MA is a total gem! The bagel and lox is the best I’ve ever had—super fresh, generous portions, and packed with flavor. You can tell they really care about quality and presentation.

And the coffee? Unbelievably good. Smooth, rich, and brewed just right—easily some of the best in the area.

The vibe here is something special—you can even buy a guitar or bang on the drums while you’re there! It’s a creative, welcoming space that feels more like a community than just a coffee shop.

If you’re anywhere near Clinton, do yourself a favor and stop in. Great food, amazing coffee, and a whole lot of character. This place is a must-visit!

I walked into Melody Maker for an iced mocha and left wondering if I’d accidentally stepped into a dream curated by a design-savvy barista with a PhD in hospitality. The coffee? Incredibly delicious—like the beans went to finishing school and learned how to charm you. The atmosphere? Warm enough to make you want to cancel your plans and move in. Every detail is so thoughtfully considered—from the soft glow of the lighting to the warm wood tones of the stools and bar that whisper “relax” in a very classy voice--almost looks like a movie set.

Housed in a historic brick factory building with soaring cathedral ceilings, it somehow feels both grand and cozy. And if you’re used to mid service elsewhere, prepare to have your standards permanently raised. Melody Maker isn’t just a café—it’s a full-on experience, and I’m already plotting my return.

Do you need to urban bushwhack a bit to find this spot? Yes - just follow the puppies (because when have puppies ever let you down?). I came prepared (from the website's reviews) for the classically cliched punk rock experience - sneak in, steal a coffee, get boot stomped by the staff). What I got was good coffee and breakfast and great service, the kind of spot you want to become a regular at before too many people figure out what they've been missing.

I searched for a breakfast spot and serendipitously discovered this gem while googling. As I approached the location, doubts crept in about whether it would be suitable for a meal with my daughter. However, upon arrival, I was greeted with exceptional customer service, delicious food, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The staff's friendliness truly made the experience unforgettable.
