I love Mexican food probably eat Mexican twice a week for past 15 years. And living in Hingham there are a few close by options. I really want to like Lenny’s

We went to Lenny’s because we were in Cohasset for an event, and have been to Lenny’s a good amount before so knew it was an option for a quick-ish bite with our toddler.

The location and vibe are great, and we were seated quickly. It is kid friendly with high chairs and friendly staff and patrons.

The food is mostly where there is room for improvement. The guac was a little too salty, although our toddler loved it so can’t complain much. I’ve had a number of their entrees, and I’m on the hunt for a “good” one. This time I got the bowl with chicken, and it was pretty bland and just kind of awful. A Mexican bowl these days is a stable, and very easy to make, I know I make them at my house and order at places all the time. The chicken was overcooked and chewy with no flavor, the rice was undercooked and still crunch, and everything else in the bowl was lackluster and forgettable. I’ve had the enchilada (slightly better), burrito (used to be good during Covid), and I can’t remember if I’ve had the tacos. But to reiterate I have found anything I really like yet unfortunately, because I really want to like it!

I will try Lenny’s again for the location, vibe, and staff, and cause Mexican is one of my favorite foods. please suggest something that is good or tinker with your recipes to make these staples better!

Last service was great, but I would appreciate if they offered hot sauce when delivery the entrees.

Best, luke

A very interesting hole in a wall mexcian restaurant. Randomly came across this establishment and had a late lunch and a margarita. Server was pleasant and attentive, food was good and seasoned well. Will recommend & revisit

Sat at the bar - my wife had a glass of Sangria $12 and rice bowl. Both were good from her perspective. I had a lemonade and 2 chicken tacos. Tacos were awful: dry, with overcooked chicken and limp, tasteless tacos that seemed like they had been steamed. Bartender never followed up to ask about our food, and only offered a refill of my lemonade shortly before we were leaving. Only two other people at the bar - so not as if any of the three bartenders were preoccupied. Disappointing.

Amazing food. Sat outside and had a great view of downtown Cohasset.

What a hidden taco gem! This was our first visit, and we’re so glad we discovered it. We sat outside on the cozy porch under string lights, and it made for the perfect evening. The margaritas were spot-on, and the food was bursting with authentic, fresh flavor. As someone who’s gluten-free, I was thrilled to see they offer GF wraps for burritos and quesadillas — such a thoughtful touch! Can’t wait to come back and hopefully snag a seat in Lenny the Monarch’s booth.

Do not eat here. Find somewhere else. Very disappointed overall. First, they charged you for chips, salsa and queso. Which I’m okay with if it was good. It was straight out of a Tostitos jar. Literally no way around it. Could have bought it at the store cheaper than what I paid for a little bowl of each. 3 out of the 4 of us in my party got Lenny’s margarita. It was 12 dollars each. Not a bad margarita, Just small. When asked about the margarita pitcher they offered, they advised it was 65 dollars. The waitress stated it served 4 drinks in each pitcher. I’m not the best at math but 12x4=48 dollars, why are you charging me 65 for a pitcher? Mmm didn't make sense. Didn’t get it. The food was EXPENSIVE for what it was. 3 tacos, rice and beans was 32 dollars. Again, could have went to the store, got groceries and cooked a whole Mexican dinner for the price I paid for one meal. Not. Worth. It. Never will be back. Do not waste time or money.

Unimpressed. Atmosphere was laid back with a bar feel, however where we were sitting was super hot and stuffy. White queso and standard salsa was Tostitos brand, yet they charged like it was something special. Margaritas were good. The chicken chimichanga was good, but still just a tad bit overpriced for me. For 4 people, 3 with only one margarita, the total reached nearly $150. The cost of a pitcher of margarita was $65, which we did not get. Waitress was average. Definitely better Mexican restaurants around. The overall consensus when we left was being okay with not coming back.

I can’t believe I live a half hour from this place and have never eaten here. The first thing that impressed me was that the wooden tables did NOT have that typical tacky residue. They were clean and spotless. The fish taco combo plate was awesome. The taco was stuffed with lightly battered baja fish, aioli sauce and a pico topping. At my first bite, it was so good that I was already sorry that I did not take a picture of the plate first. I’ll be back there soon enough for pictures. My wife had the grilled chicken with pineapple salsa. Her reaction was the same. There’s an outside eating area, private booths with high backs which are perfect for families with kids, and a regular bar area. Prices are extremely reasonable, you can check them on their web site. If you like Mexican food please go there soon!

Parking: On the street or in the large central parking lot

Kid-friendliness: A family with 2 kids would have a great time in the high backed booths.

Great place to have some Mexican food, live music and good drinks. Just beware of the coyotes on the way back.
