I can’t believe I live a half hour from this place and have never eaten here. The first thing that impressed me was that the wooden tables did NOT have that typical tacky residue. They were clean and spotless. The fish taco combo plate was awesome. The taco was stuffed with lightly battered baja fish, aioli sauce and a pico topping. At my first bite, it was so good that I was already sorry that I did not take a picture of the plate first. I’ll be back there soon enough...
I don't like the Phantom Gourmet (sales platform, not real reviews), but.... Because of them I heard of this place. I must say, this is the best Mexican food in the South Shore.Everything tastes like it was made from scratch. I had the Carnitas plate and I loved it, my wife found it to be a little heavy with cinnamon, but I loved it! My wife had the Shrimp chimichanga, Even the tortilla looked like it was made on the premises..We also had corn chips with the mango habanero...
It was our first visit and finding the door was a little problem even though there were some small signs. Once inside the door, it was either stairs or an elevator which would have been a little easier to navigate if we had used it before. The restaurant is on the second floor.I expect a little flavor or zing to my food in a Mexican restaurant. Unfortunately everything was bland. Started with chips and salsa. The chips were good. The salsa had no zing. Main course was chicken...
