Very upset with the experience here. Heard it was a great rooftop bar, but when my friends and I who are visiting from New York got there and provided our IDs, we were denied service because we had out-of-state IDs. I’m confused, all 200 people in that bar on a Saturday night were from Massachusetts? And anyone who is visiting Boston is not allowed to get a drink from here? It’s a tourist town. I think it was just a sorry excuse that the bartender provided. Should’ve at least scanned them, or asked for another form of ID. Just an inconvenience during our one night out on our trip.

Locally owned & operated. Good food, nice atmosphere, good service, good neighbor. The restaurant business isn’t the easiest, but even in the toughest of times (COVID), The Corner Stop has been willing to support The Scituate Animal Shelter’s annual Dine Out for Cats & Dogs fundraiser 👏👏👏🤗💋
Food was decent
Service was abominable. Waitres forgot to bring out appetizer and when entree came she said raw oysters would come "later". Hostess didn't even know how to get to outside dining and had to go to the kitchen to ask. Went there via parking lot.

Anyone who travels along the coast of Massachusetts and Maine knows that there are an almost endless number of lobster and seafood restaurants whose menus almost always offer the same dishes. The quality and location alone distinguish these restaurants from each other, and the price is similarly orbitantly high almost everywhere.
“The Corner Shop” is inconspicuously located at a street intersection and also has a bar, but it is physically separate from the restaurant.
I have rarely eaten so well outside of New York and Boston. There has to be a real chef at work here who has seen a bit of the world. The dishes (there were four of us and we all had different dishes) were all very well put together, very well seasoned and made from first-class fresh products. You won't find lobster or the ubiquitous clam chowder on the map, but you can find them on every street corner in this area. Because of the excellent food, I ordered a cocktail, a margerita with cucumber, but without the jalapeño that went with it, which was also excellent despite the change. Anyone who has ever tried restaurants in this area that are said online to be known for good cocktails knows that this is rarely true and how expensive the restaurant is. I'll probably try out the bar attached here in the next few days. The Corner Shop is highly recommended.
Parking: Approximately 30 restaurant parking spaces + 2 handicap parking spaces.
Wheelchair accessibility: Has a wheelchair ramp on the side with a separate entrance that can be opened if you let reception know in advance or if you call the restaurant from the parking lot. Handcap restroom and 2x handicap parking spaces in front of the entrance. There is plenty of space to navigate between the tables.

We may have been there on an off night - food was great - we waited over an hour for our meal. We were not offered anything or checked on.

A 'go to' place on Hull, Cohasset, Hingham town lines. Been there about 10 years...standards still high. Owners generously & quietly donate a % of profits to cancer research. My buds like the $1 oysters from 4 to 6 PM. Excl atmosphere.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy.

This was our first time in here and we're definitely coming back. We managed to get a high top table in the bar area on a Saturday night, which was ideal. Beer selection is solid, drinks and food were both excellent, and service was great. Parking is the only challenge, but it's worth it. We will be back.

We loved the ambiance of the dining room, which is far enough away from the bar area as to permit quiet conversation. We started with the grilled octopus and the mussels. Both were excellent and we shared both among the 4 of us. Entrees - swordfish, salmon burger and pasta Bolognese - all were very nicely prepared. But the flourless chocolate cake was the star of the evening for me. Absolute chocolate perfection! If you like chocolate, don’t leave without trying it!
My first visit there but definitely will be back. Everything was great!
