I've never met a group of more unprofessional inconsiderate, thoughtless people ever. Treat others as you would like to be treated. I don't know how people call themselves professionals.
Delicious squid ink pasta and seared scallops over micro greens. Tuna was great but cold smoked. Terrific atmosphere. Manager is very friendly.

Charming inn and restaurant. But waitress was not knowledgeable nor helpful. Food was very good but portions were tiny, really child sized. Ridiculous at the prices charged. Would not recommend eating here to anyone.

Went to The Cave for the 1st time in my life to see Gordon's Law. Was a $5.00 cover charge so I tried to give the lady at the entrance $5.00 cash, she informed me I had to pay by card, so I gave her my card .... come to find out they charged $6.22 to my credit card, I was not informed of this extra charge at the time and I still don't know what the extra $1.22 was for. I then went downstairs and bought a beer at the bar in the Cave, gave the woman $10.00, she informed me the cost was $6.50, yet she gave me back $3.00 instead of $3.50, I guess she doesn't know how to count. This same woman, bartender, shut down the show at 10:30 instead of 11:00, no explanation to my knowledge. We were having a great time, we were not lough or anything so I don't get it! Yeah I am all done with this place..
Loved it! Great location, and our waitress helped with choosing the best items on the menu. Highly recommend.

We went to the Red Lion in for our son's wedding this August. Not only did we gain a daughter, but we had a wonderful 2 days there with family and friends to celebrate their union. We enjoyed every second...the warmth and hospitality of an amazing staff and we ate the tastiest dinner you can imagine in an idyllic location!
Update to our review: we went back this summer for an anniversary stay and WOW! It’s just as incredible as we remembered!!!! Stay here with your partner and/or whole family, enjoy the warmth and hospitality of an amazing staff, eat the tastiest dinner you can imagine, (if it’s summer.. swim in the lovely pool and lay out on the very comfortable chairs), be in an idyllic location, and enjoy every second! —- Choosing Red Lion Inn was, hands down, one of the best decisions of our entire wedding day/weekend (second only to choosing whom to marry ;). When I say that the team at Red Lion Inn exceeded all expectations, that doesn’t even feel like it fully captures the depth, intimacy, and thorough attention to detail that RLI offered us!! We had a wedding venue already in mind but popped by RLI on a whim. After 15 minutes of touring the venue with Soli, we had completely changed our minds and were asking when we could set the date!!! From Soli to Jennifer, Andrew, Toufik, Matt, all of the incredible staff who worked our weekend, and the woman who made it all happen (Sam), we still marvel at the extraordinary gift that the RLI gave us by being the home for one of the most important rituals of a lifetime. Jennifer was so thorough and organized, every step of the way; it felt like having a superhuman wedding planner as my right-hand person! My husband and I both have large families (many of whom needed to travel internationally for our wedding), with lots of nieces and nephews. Accommodating all of the moving parts was made so much easier because of the quick and thorough communication with the staff! We even set up a babysitter room the day and night of the wedding so that our families could relax and party with us! Sam worked with Jennifer and was the point person on the day of the wedding. WOW she knocked it out of the park! I would have been overwhelmed to receive the sheer vast amount of content that I created for my wedding — but not Sam. She was as cool as a cucumber and put me at ease every single step of the way!! So many of my pieces were fragile, from extensive DIY projects to family heirlooms. She meticulously unpacked every item, set them up perfectly, and was even there in the wee hours of the night, packing items back up. Everything was accounted for; not one item from among the hundreds of items was forgotten in the process. As far as I’m concerned, RLI and the dream team of Jennifer, Sam, and all of the staff are worth every bit of investment in choosing this venue. I cannot emphasize how much this staff, literally every single person that we worked with, went above and beyond every time! We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner while we were visiting the venue, and it made sense why the whole venue is as incredible as it is. It’s run with so much love and heart, and wow does it show!! Andrew, the Innkeeper, must have taken a few dozen calls from me (at least) as I tried to accommodate my many out-of-town guests. His kindness and care added an exquisite touch to the experience! Toufik! What a gem!!! He was with us on the day of the wedding, and I had no idea how exceptional the day-of staff would be! His huge heart, incredible attention to detail, and phenomenal interpersonal skills made him one of the highlights of the day for my whole family! And that’s saying a lot — because it was an epic day! THE FOOD!! Hands down the best event food that we’ve ever had! The chef is incredible, and he accommodated so many different allergies and dietary preferences (including severe allergies). We even went out to eat at the restaurant at RLI for multiple meals leading up to the wedding because of how delicious the food is. This venue is gorgeous and everything that you could dream of. All of our friends and family are constantly reflecting what an incredible day the wedding was. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to the Red Lion Inn for being such a gem! If I could sing your praises even louder and with more gusto — I would. You made the experience what it was, and RLI will always be a place that my husband and I
Everything about the trip was fabulous staff at the red lion Inn are always available to help and very very nice. The room was very clean and comfortable Would definitely recommend it. And we definitely stay again
We had such a memorable dinner Wednesday night, we returned Saturday night and I ordered the same exact dinner! The kale salad was so delicious and the Ricotta Gnudi is a must taste. We ordered the Roasted Winter Squash appetizer that was delicious. My daughter had the Herb Tagliatelle that she enjoyed and took a photo of! Their pastas are all homemade. The Chateau Lyonnat was a delicious red wine to accompany the dinner and so reasonably priced for the taste and quality. The service was excellent both nights. We had Angela Saturday night who was exceptional. I highly recommend trying them out.

Good cozy vibes. The food menu is different and experimental combinations that we had not tried before. we loved it.
The beds were comfortable. Loved the old aesthetic and the way the Inn staff support your stay. I travel often and this is one of the few places that use actual keys. Beautiful property. My kids loved it
The Red Lion Inn was an amazing getaway! The staff were so helpful and friendly! I especially want to give shout-outs to Nancy and Andrew at the front desk, and Mac and Brian in the Tavern. Our room was cozy and clean. We were impressed by the huge jacuzzi tub and roomy shower in the bathroom, which weren't mentioned on the website. The bed was so comfortable, and the fireplace really enhanced our weekend. Everything we ate and drank at the Tavern was delicious. We had dinner both nights, and brunch on Sunday, and everything was cooked perfectly! If you are somewhat high-maintenance and want a brand new, shiny, state-of-the art resort experience, then this inn is not for you. You will need to go somewhere else and spend a lot more money for that. Luckily, this was just what we were looking for - a quaint, clean, cozy, 'old-fashioned' inn where the staff still values good customer service and a connection with the guests.
Cohasset is a gorgeous New England town any time of year, and the Red Lion Inn is a charming historic inn off the beaten path, but not that far off. We've stayed there several times in different seasons, and it's always a treat. Each room is different and lovely. The staff is welcoming and informal. Well worth driving a few miles out of your way.
The staff is very welcoming. There is a warm and cozy feeling to the inn. The rooms and bathrooms and hardwood floors could use some updating. Adding some USB Ports and a switch for gas fireplace instead of a timer that ticks would be appreciated.
