Very good service and exceptional staff. Lower rating as food was tasty but very salty and expected more fine dining experience from the food. Seasonal tasting menu is the best value and would return to try other dishes from this option. Tasting menu is available to any diner so the whole table doesn't need to order it which is nice.

The menu was interesting but execution was underwhelming. Pappardelle was overcooked, although mushroom sauce was tasty. We asked for add-on truffles.... it wasn't sliced shavings but fine grated string - either the truffle was old or it was grated hours before serving, since it was absolutely tasteless. Choux au Craquelin supposed to be crunchy, hence the name, but it was rather soggy. And the grand finale - a simple espresso wasn't available.

Food is fine but service is quite questionable. One waiter ruined our experience. First of all, he spilled the rice paper of the starter to our table. While we are having the other start, he showed up to our table and placed the tableware for main course. This is super odd.

First time at 80 Thoreau and we loved it. Very pleasant atmosphere. Fantastic food and service. The chicken and steak frittes were both very flavorful, tender and juicy. Pear cheesecake was amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant!

This was our first visit to 80 Thoreau and we were very happy with the experience. The food was great with unique menu options. The service struck the right balance in terms of being there at the appropriate times. And the atmosphere and noise level was great even though the restaurant was full. We definitely had a nice time!

Awful service. Took 25 min for the waiter to return to our table to take our order after our drinks came (they were waiting on several tables adjacent to us too). After our food came never returned to see how it was or if we wanted more drinks. Food was pretty good, but poor service knocked down our overall experience.

Food was outstanding as always! Me and my S.O. go here annually for our anniversary because we love the atmosphere, and food so much. They helped us celebrate by treating us each to a glass of champagne, and a candle to help commemorate our day. The folks who assisted us (Tyler, Zachary, and one other gentleman who I did not get the chance to inquire the name of) were incredibly kind, and attentive without being helicopters. We especially loved the overall staff interaction, kindness and personability that we feel is unique to 80 Thoreau. The food, of course, was out of this world. Thank you folks for another fantastic experience!
