Came here with our family on a busy holiday for lunch. Other restaurants were full and this one had open seating. When this happens, it’s usually not a good sign. The service and location were great. But the food can do a lot to come from semi-fast-food tasting to dine-in tasting. The details:The chicken fingers were not from actual chicken meat but whatever that paste they make chicken nuggets is made of (not great). One pizza listed “blue cheese”, and turned out to be fully covered in a white sauce. Note to management: that is not what blue cheese looks like. The tiramisu was heavy and very sweet. Again, anyone who has made a tiramisu or ate one made well knows that tiramisu is a lightweight desert that doesn’t hit you in the head with a ton of sugar: it should be a delight to eat.The spinach salad had fresh ingredients but was overall a “lazy salad”: a mountain of leaves with some onions and tomatoes on top. Really, this salad could have been so much better. Also, the salad should be served in a larger plate or bowl so guests have space to mix in the dressing, as is, it ends up on the table. The pepperoni pizza was ok.Overall, not the worst, but for such central location, all Y’all need to do to have a full room is to elevate the menu and serve real food made out of real ingredients and slow down on the fats and sugar. If this food was given to us for free, I would be fine. But if we pay for it, I expect it to taste like real food.Hope this helps!

Bigger than some of the other Comella Restaurants. Very good atmosphere, good menu. Staff is very friendly. Street parking (metered). Dine in or take out.

Comella's used to be a backup to Sorrento's just down the road, but recently I've been finding myself going here more. Sorrento's still reigns supreme in terms of pizza quality, but only by a small margin. The staff at Comella's is far friendlier, the prices are more competitive, it's easier to order over the phone, and the hours are better. When I'm ordering a pizza, I want it to be both straightforward to get and tasty to eat. Comella's delivers on both of these while Sorrento's does not.

Tried to order online but their website wasn't accepting orders, so I decided to call and was on hold for 10 mins before speaking to someone. Couldn’t even try the food because the nasty lady taking the order on the phone hung up because she was “too busy with a tour bus” to take my order. I called to order a delivery to a friend who has a sick child but found out that they don’t deliver the 4.5 miles to my town. When she told me that, I wanted to change it to pickup but Karen on the phone hung up on me before I could place the order. She told me to use DoorDash if I wanted delivery. As an FYI, the cheese pizza directly from comellas is $13 but through door dash it is $18.

Do not order the butternut squash with the brown butter sage. The only thing correct about the meal was the butternut squash ravioli. The "brown butter" was just melted butter and there was no sage whatsoever. A very tasteless meal the way it was served.

we came in on a saturday early afternoon, the restaurant smells so gross. it smells like dirty washing rags. the smell alone made me want to walk out. we stayed and ordered because we were in a rush and the other place in town was on a long wait. the food was mediocre, bathrooms were gross, service was mediocre at best. i would definitely not go again.

Came here with friends after a long bike ride. Great Italian food with a good selection of beers for a small place. I got a small pizza and it came piping hot out the oven. Super great experience and will definitely consider coming by again on my next ride!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Italian optionsDietary restrictions: Has gluten free options

Great little restaurant for great food at a reasonable price! Ordered the Awesome Avelina Pizza and added grilled chicken as well as the regular spaghetti with meatballs and it was delicious! It was like the perfect mix between crispy and doughy! All I would complain about is that it took around 25 minutes after getting the spaghetti until we got the pizza!

I'm not even going to try and get a refund this time. I'm just not going to go back. We ordered a pizza, Pa's mess, and Ma's mess.. The pizza was not great, but it was the two pasta dishes that did not deliver, again.. Pa's mess, which is a pasta dish with meatballs, barely had any meat I would say, approximately half a meatball and very little pasta. It was mostly sauce. And Ma's mess, a pasta dish with vegetables had not one vegetable in the entire order. It was mostly sauce very little pasta, and no vegetables. I have been disappointed by this place so many times in the last couple of years and I wonder why I keep going back. Probably because years ago it used to be good. Definitely go somewhere else. You don't get what you ordered and the quality has gone way downhill.

Back in Boston area after four years away - great to be able to eat Comella's again! Wings and Mother K's mess were both excellent. Thanks!
