Very cute traditional restaurant. Great variety in the menu and attentive service. Lovely ambiance. All the food was very good. We had the salmon, the burger and some of the salads. The ravioli were a bit too oily, but taste was overall really nice. We asked for espresso coffee and they brought us filtered coffee.

Ate there last night with the family. Everything was middle of road good. I'd never go out of my way to go back. Service was really good. I had a burger and it was good not great. Prices are fair. Of note, we got desert to go and got about a third of normal size desert.....we know because the table next to us ordered the same. It was so Small it was laughable. Bottom line.....middle of the road.

My wife and I had a Fantastic luncheon experience. Our server was Laura. She was extremely pleasant, welcoming and knowledgeable. I had the Reuben Sandwich and it probably was the BEST Reuben I have ever had. A Reuben sandwich is what I order to judge the quality and quantity of food in a new restaurant if it is on the menu. It was HUGE ! It was everything a Reuben should be. Large portion of corn beef, excellent sauerkraut and a wonderful dressing. I had fries with that a a wonderful beer. YUP . . . I ate the whole sandwich. Next time when the food is brought to the table, I will immediately ask the server to place half the sandwich in a ToGo box so I don't overeat and can enjoy the sandwich again the next day. We were extremely please with the Concord Colonial Inn and loved the atmosphere. We definitely will return hopefully for a dinner or afternoon tea. Thank YOU Concord Colonial Inn and thank you Laura.

Our waitress was nice. The food was ok, but uninspired. I found a bone in my fish entree and the fish taco appetizer wraps tasted like ones you could get at a grocery store. For $100 for dinner for two there are better options. It wasn't bad enough to complain, but not good enough to return or recommend.

Nice menu. Food was average. Prices reflected the venue. Tables should have had tablecloths. Service was kind but they were obviously overextended. Took a very long time after finishing eating to get the staff's attention.

I like checking out historic restaurants and this certainly fit the bill. After tooling around Concord Center a bit, we ate at the bar in the tavern part of the inn. No open concept here haha, it's like a maze of tiny rooms but that makes sense. Grabbed the two seats closest to the fire which was nice on a cold day. The bartender was fine, not overly warm and fuzzy but fine, and we started with a wine and cider. Both of us had our eyes on the chicken pot pie (about $24) and neither wanted to not get it, so that's what we did. Nice crust on a good amount of chicken and veggies, with an excellent side of mashed potato and not my fave butternut squash. I'm not a big fan in the first place and this was way too sweet, should have subbed for green beans or something. But overall we had a nice time and glad to finally check it out. I tried to attach photos but it just kept spinning.

We went for the New Year's Day brunch. The food was delicious. The restaurant is historic and charming, with many small dining rooms. The service was good and price very reasonable.

My husband, daughter and myself had a nice New Year's Eve early dinner at the Colonial Inn. It's close to our home, so it was a convenient choice. I would like to give our experience 5 stars but for the almost teenage hostess staff who sent us to a cold and tiny room at the front of the inn. When I asked her if we could sit in the Merchant's Row room, she declined stating all tables were reserved, and they couldn't move us. Merchant's Row is a large room at the back of the inn with piano music and lots of ambiance. There were plenty of tables open at 5:15, and it would be nice if they had a more accommodating hostess out front instead of 3 chatting young women who are not interested in customer service. The food was excellent--salmon, halibut special and prime rib.

Actually a 3.5 but that isn't an option. This is a beautiful building in a charming spot--Concord Center. Arrive early and visit the many shops in the area, a treat unto itself. But onto the meal. My companion and I were looking for a holiday experience during Christmas week. The Inn is gorgeous on the outside but inside felt a little underdone, a bit plain actually. We arrived for an early dinner on a night where the only dining room open was Merchant's Row. It was empty at first but filled up as the night went on. Our waitperson was friendly without being too chummy, showed up at all the right moments and was helpful in guiding our choices. My companion had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and I was in the mood for a specialty cocktail -- of which there were several of interest -- and settled on the Merry Berry (something) which was a kind of margarita with pomegranate, cranberry and lime juice. Tasty! The menu is a nice mix of mostly traditional fare -- salads, soups and entrees. After some debate between the pot roast and the chicken pot pie, and with help from the server, we settled on the latter. Our meal began with warm biscuits and cornbread which were delish. The pot pie was super-hot (about which we were warned) with a top crust that looked a little overtoasted but actually worked quite well with the dish once I dug in. Plenty of chicken, the sauce was a little watery at first but seemed to get more creamy over the course of the meal and was tasty. The sides were underwhelming--mashed potatoes and mashed butternut squash which were flavorful but almost cold, which was unappetizing. All in all I'd return again, some ups and some downs but overall a pleasant experience. I understand eating on the porch is a lovely experience so maybe during the summer.

I had to basically go over the top to get our waitresses attention for the check. We bussed our own dishes and went without water refills. I think this was unique to our waitress the others were much more attentive.

Though the ambience is a little less Yankee formal than in years gone by, the food is a little less basic than before, and therefore better. My hangar steak had an interesting herbal complement, and I didn't need to use ketchup with my fries because of their delicious aioli dressing.

We went for a holiday lunch and found the ambiance lacking, although the food was good and we connected with friends at nearby tables. We live nearby, and will likely return, but it doesn't feel like a destination in the same way it used to.
