Great food and great drinks.
Very accommodating to young children. My kids played games, danced, and sang. Would love to go back when I’m back in the area.

Very disorganized food pickup to-go, do not recommend
Shrimp Scampi, best I've ever had. Haddock and pork tacos, excellent.

Amazing food (we had the risotto and as recommended the meat loaf), beer, and tap room vibes. We were very impressed and definitely recommend a stop here!

Good beer, atmosphere and bartender but when a burger costs $19, it should be freshly made and damn good, not come from a cheap, frozen patty. It's easy to tell the difference.

Really good food. Good beer. Unfortunately, rumor has it the brew partner is shutting down, and the restaurant will be rebranded. Would still go back for the food alone.

Food is usually good, but the service was absolutely terrible. One server, and he never checked on us. We ordered one drink, and waited 25 minutes for it. He then left, forgot two drinks, and we did not see him for THIRTY minutes. We tried to flag him down many times. He finally came, we ordered, another 45 minutes, and our food arrived. He did not check on us for literally another hour. It was so so bad. We asked for our check and it took thirty minutes. From when we arrived at 630, and paid at 9pm, I have never had such bad service. He then told us, “you need to pay now and leave unless you’re staying for the DJ” it was REALLY bad.

Amazing food! I got one of the daily/weekly specials and it was delicious. The portion was a bit small but it ended up being enough (I need to get better at portion control anyway) the beer on tap was a nice variety
Parking: If there are other events going on parking can be an issue.
Kid-friendliness: We brought our daughter with us. If there was live music it might have been too loud
Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator next to the main entrance (backside of the building)

They just opened again, and oh my goodness- I'm in love! I have tried wings, the fish tacos, a salad, and the sweet potato fries.... and everything was so incredibly good. I wish I could order from them everyday! (Hint hint to Shire... delivery would be SWEET but I'd still drive to pick up) So the food was amazing (just an FYI... if you're expecting typical food, you're going to be shocked at the level of deliciousness you get), but that's not all. They were super kind on the phone, referred us to their online ordering system which was one of the best ordering platforms I've seen, and when we picked up our food they were so incredibly kind! And it was super cold out!
If you like good food, pub snacks or dinner, and local beer, this is your place. Drive here, you won't regret it.

The Shire has it all and is, as they say, the real deal. Fantastic Food. Atmosphere. A stellar line of a variety of beer. Friendly staff. And an occasional open mic night to benefit charity. The brewery and restaurant are located in the lower level of an old factory, called the Stationery building. There is plenty of parking behind the building. Entering through the large glass enclosed staircase head downstairs and through the carved door. A nice detail that would make Bilbo, Frodo, and JRR Tolkien proud. The space is long and open. One never has the sense that we are on the lower level. The tables and bench are made from the very wood that used to be part of the floor. And the long wooden bar comes from a tree harvest just a couple of miles away.Details like these say a great deal about the care that must also go into the beer. And based on our tasting, we believe that this is true.Although there are many beers and different varieties to choose from, we went with a flite of four IPA. And they were all exceptionally good. We even tried the double ipa with 8% alcohol and were surprised at how smooth and drinkable it, and all the beers are.Defiance had a slight grapefruit tasteJoey sighting was nice and smoothRancor (the double ipa) had a grapefruit taste and was surprisingly drinkable most beers at 8% or above struggle to keep the flavor forward - and here rancor delivers where most other fail.Space Turtles - great flavor with a slight effervescence - my favorite from this stellar sampling. We opted for tacos, really delicious fish tacos that were accompanied by a slightly spicy sauce, as well as the vegan tacos that were flavorful as well. Our only regret having visited the shire is that we live more than 100 miles away!
Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options and a few vegan options as well.

We had a GREAT dinner here!!! We had the BEST burger and wonderful wedge salad. Cool renovated factory with outstanding service! Will def be bask! Thank you.
My husband and I went in to get some beers to go, and the waitress directed us to pick which ones we’d like out of the to-go beer fridge ourselves and to take it to the counter to pay. $6-$7 per can is a steep price, but what really spoiled my impression of the brewery was the waitress: my total was $19.50, so I handed her a $20 and she said “thanks, have a great night” and began to walk away with a table’s drink order. I said “I’m sorry, I didn’t get my change?” She replied “you want your change back? Ok, yeah, I guess…” and she put her head down and walked back to the till and handed me the change. It’s one thing to want a tip for self-serve to-go beer, it’s another thing to just take a customer’s change and keep it for yourself. This really didn’t feel like an ‘oops, I forgot your change’ situation, and I won’t be going back to this brewery because of it.

Great beer, I just wish the hours were better. It'd be a great place to grab a beer on a weekend afternoon, rather than waiting until 4:30 for them to open.
