Finally tried this place and it lived up to the hype. Dining room was nicely spaced out and comfortable.Food was excellent. One of the best French onion soups I’ve had. We had the duck, filet, bolognese and sword fish special. All were delicious and servings were hearty.Will return often and look forward to sampling other menu items.

Hidden Gem.. food was absolutely delicious. Service was phenomenal. The menu was simple, but had it all. Great atmosphere and drinks! I can't wait to go back!

What a gem. The scallops were a perfect appetizer and the Swordfish was the best I have ever had. Cocktails also exceeded expectations, they offer a fantastic pear martini. Highly recommend.
My wife and I went last night 12/30/2023. 9 Elm St is a 5 star across the board restaurant. The hostess is accommodating, friendly and professional. Jackie the bartender is the absolute best. The food is perfect every time. My wife loves the swordfish, I love everything on the menu and try to order something different every time. The bluecheese filled dates are amazingly awesome. We love 9 Elm.

My husband and I love 9 elm our favorite restaurant on the Northshore...we have gone for birthdays and most importantly date night. Last night my husband and I were looking to do an early New Year's late Christmas dinner..We arrived at 5:15 (uber confirmed) when we walked in we were excited the place was empty and there were bar seats! We go to sit down and we were stopped by a host stating the entire restaurant is reservation only including the bar...per host " for the past 2 years we have been reservation only we do not allow walk ins" which we were completely shocked! We have been to 9 elm over a dozen times in the last year and have never needed a reservation for the bar! We would have shared photos of our food but we were told we could not stay. We dine out frequently and love to treat ourselves with 9 elm but after this experience we will probably not be back.
