Very hungry after a long drive to Sawasdee Danvers to have some Thai food. Arrived at 8:25, 50 minutes to Trip Advisors stated closing time. We were told, sorry, we close our kitchen at 8:15. The 1 rating is for TripAdvisor. We weren’t able to rate the restaurant. Ended up at J&J Asian, 2 miles away.

This place puts too much sugar in their dishes. Every single dish we ate here was sweeter than they should be including the chicken in chicken larb.

What a find! While visiting the north shore, our family members nudged us toward Sawasdee on our last night together and we were thrilled by all of it. My husband and I lived in Cambodia almost four years and spent quite a bit of time in Thailand so we're hard to please when it comes to good Thai food. But we all agreed Sawasdee's food was the closest we'd come to our meals in southeast Asia and would give it five stars for everything we ate. As a sideline, we arrived without reservations on a Saturday evening with four adults and three children hoping to get lucky and the staff found a table for us within minutes. Lovely service, excellent food, and a place we heartily recommend.
