The TaVern at 156 Restaurant & Bar

I LOVE the food at this location but their prices are kind of high and I wish they would allow you to purchase shrimp as a side or add-on.

Great food and friendly, attentive service. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu. My burger was incredible and the homemade FrenchFry-chips were awesome.

Excellent steak tips. Fantastic truffle fries and onion rings. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere.

Had a late lunch today for the first visit. The food and service was outstanding!!! Highly recommend the backyard burger and the steak tips. Will be back!

First time here and was impressed with quality and tastiness of the food. We were greeted with a temperature check. Service was friendly and attentive, but not hovering. The food was really good and plan to try new items on another visit. Check out the mini biscuits with cinnamon butter.

Owner is a class act down to earth guy really enjoyed talking with him. He cares about his customers and employees. Food is really great loved everything couldn't get enough if I'm ever in the area again that's the first place I'm going. made my wife and I feel very welcome never had such a great experience at a restaurant before they went above and beyond. he explained the menu and cared to find out about his customers. if you want excellent service this is the place I recommend 10 out of 5 stars you wont be disappointed

We went to The TaVern at 156 Restaurant & Bar on Sunday! After seeing people's rave reviews on the North Shore Eats Facebook page and from my parents I knew I had to give it a try! I got the Spicy Tavern Burger: Pepperjack stuffed patty, between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches with cheddar cheese and chipotle crema and let me just say

We had a great dinner for two. Started with fried pickles which were outstanding! Steak tips and scallops with sides were perfect. Service was exceptional. Beers were really cold

Called 7:45pm to see how long the wait was for 2 people and was told 9pm, girl who answered the phone then followed up with “we are kinda busy right now so we aren’t really seating people.” I said “so are you telling me don’t bother coming in?” And her response was “probably not”. Fantastic customer service let me tell ya. For a place so new maybe they should hire people who aren’t dying to get out the door exactly at closing time. Piss poor attitude.

Great food and atmosphere! The manager greeted us as well. Staff was very friendly too!

First time at The TaVern and we were not disappointed. Everything was delicious and prepared perfectly. We started with the steak and cheese egg rolls. They were excellent. For dinner we had the steak tips with the sauteed spinach and the potato dippers, and the scallops with brussel sprouts. Delicious! The have a full bar with a great beer selection. Melissa our server was very friendly and attentive. We will be back!

The food here is awesome! Everyone at my table ordered something different (steak tips, burgers, southern comfort) along with apps, and nobody was disappointed. The sangria and ice cream cookie sandwich dessert were fabulous too. We came in on a Saturday night, and the place was clean and everyone was properly distanced. I definitely recommend eating here!

Worth every penny. Got appetizers, drinks, and a few entrees to split with friends. Obsessed with the farmers salad with salmon!!! The portions are ridiculously huge. Definitely coming back with a great group. Ended the meal with the gluten free brownie sundae- AMAZING!!!

Best burger ever! I started off with fried pickles and shrimp tacos which were perfect! I had the 156 Burger and topped it off with a peach passion. Both were amazing!! The owner was so nice, he checked up on us during our meal. I ended my experience with a Ganache Brownie sundae!! Amazing food, great atmosphere and amazing service! 10/10 for vibes!!
