I love Azuma. I’ve gone by multiple times in the past couple of months and they have been closed with only a paper posted saying that they are closed for renovations. No notice online. No notice anywhere. You try to call and it just says that the call cannot be completed. I don’t know how people are submitting 5 star reviews for a closed restaurant, unless they are the staff. 3 stars for neutrality, 4 if they were open.
I went today for my birthday mostly cause I was craving steak, but good steak not no top round that they serve. The steak was not edible. I got lucky and got a piece of chicken when they gave me veggies sooo much better I ended up ordering a bunch of those fried pork dumplings that filled me up. Our server was amazing. The hibachi chef was nothing like I expected, zero interaction. Overall food was okay. If your going for the steak I warm you please don't.
All around poor quality/services. We walked in and many staff members looked at us but it took a few minutes to be greeted while the place was dead. Our waitress was kind but she was the only one working the dining room side so services were extremely slow and we found ourselves having to ask for things multiple times before it showed up. Once we got our food, the sodas were flat, my salmon roll smelt odd, was warm and the rice was super mushy. The steak and shrimp hibachi plate was probably the best part but overall everything just had an off taste and I was just really disappointed.
waitress was great food was disgusting!!! The guy cleaning the grill got the sprayed the cleaner everywhere. we didn't eat any of it went to speak with the manager who told us pretty much too bad. NEVER AGAIN!!
I have not been to this restaurant yet, but I know the people who own it, they were targeted By a disgruntled employee and that is why they have these not credible reviews. When you see so many reviews in a short period of time don’t fall for it. The owners are terrific people and I look forward to eating there soon and doing a follow up review
Place is slowly falling a part, and after the news that came out on how they treat their employees, how they handle their product and the disgusting roach and fly problem they have…yea I’m all set. Would rather eat supermarket sushi than theirs. Rice is always inconsistent and the chefs are probably just paid to hire. There’s a standard in making sushi, not the lousy stuff they serve. Disrespectful to the craft I should say the very least. DO BETTER
Food is good. The hibachi "experience " leaves alot to be desired. They don't do any of the fun stuff so I'd rather drive further away to get all the bells and whistle and the fun of that normally come with hibachi, and unfortunately the food isn't good enough to keep me here inspite of the boring hibachi. ?♀️ So in summary, I'll eat here if someone else wants to, but when I want to get the hibachi experience I'll go elsewhere.
I just had a horrible experience here with my fiance. This is an all you can eat hibachi which I supppse is a pretty good idea. The food is "ok" service is "ok" The part that I'm most upset about is their no to go policy. I didn't notice this at the bottom of the menu. My fiance is pregnant and as soon as we got there she didn't feel great but she needed to eat to we stayed. We ordered, got the food and she barely ate her FIRST plate. I asked for a to go not realizing their junk policy. They told me no to go. Now I understand not wanting to offer to go to limit people ordering a free second plate then taking it home but you can't take your first one home that we just paid 26 dollars for. That is just not cool at all. The guy was rude about it. The cook doing the hibachi was not friendly and engaging. Read the reviews and don't go.
I totally understand what people are complaining about. However, this is an “Endless Hibachi & Sushi” Bistro with a fair price of $25.95. Think about it—you eat as much as you can for that price without an increase with the exception of a surcharge if you don’t finish which I totally think is fair because they also want to save as much ingredients as possible. If they allowed people to take home their meals, they as a business, would be losing money because someone could be ordering 10 meals for $25.95 which is a loss for them considering they make their food with care and allow costumers to eat as much as they can for the same price. I totally understand where the customers are coming from but you also have to understand it from a business point-of-view. Moving on—I absolutely recommend their Hibachi soup, and Pork Gyoza. I ordered Sirloin Steak with Chicken Hibachi. First impression? Chicken needs a bit of seasoning, the rice was a bit cool, and the steak was a bit hard but overall, the meal components compliments one another. The staff is honestly amazing and as someone who has been to different high quality restaurants such as Gordon Ramsay’s kitchen in Boston, I think they deserve more recognition than they are given by the people on the internet. Again, I get where they are coming from. But maybe restructuring the rules that affects pricing might produce more positive experience for costumers. As for me, I had a wonderful experience with the staff, the food was filling. The Hibachi soup is to die for if you like mushrooms and scallions. My partner adores the Alcohol. I would definitely go again. Cheers
If I could say 0 stars, I’d select that option. Waitress was ok. No issues there. Now I realize this is all you can eat, and they have the disclaimer on their menu, but I don’t understand why you can’t take home anything you can’t eat from the first serving, Especially since they say they don’t want to be wasteful, but yet they’re being wasteful. But that’s not even what I’m really upset about since frankly, food wasn’t great anyway. The Hibachi was the most boring and lifeless display I’ve ever seen. No audience interaction whatsoever. My husband has a shrimp allergy which we notified them about and their solution was to make the dish in the kitchen. Ok no problem. Except that apparently they thought he was also allergic to flavor. His dish was considerably made differently with no seasoning or attention to it. Horrible experience. Complete waste of time and money.

Got seated. Waited ten min. Someone got seated across from us and IMMEDIATELY got their order taken. She got them their drinks. Cool! Maybe she didn’t see us get get seated first. Whatever. Then gives them their drinks and I’m thinking cool it’s our turn to put in our orders. NOPE. continues to check on and clear other tables then goes in the back ! Never again
Alyssa was our server. She is amazing! Made my whole family feel so relaxed and welcome. Overall the food is pretty good. I loved the sushi. The hibachi steak was a bit tough. It didn't seem like it was the advertised sirloin steak. The broccoli tasted great, but the zucchini was a bit bland. The hibachi presentation I'm used to from other restaurants was absent. They set the grill ablaze, but there was no onion volcano, no tossing food in the air. Because Alyssa was so great and the food was good enough, we will return.
I Had dinner with my kids and they barely ate. I asked for a box for their plates and was informed it is all you can eat so they wouldn’t let me take to go good. I was treated as if I was trying to scam the restaurant when clearly I just wanted the food my children didn’t touch. In hindsight, the warning signs were there that this was not a great restaurant, but we tried anyway and left disappointed. In summary, I paid $70 for one plate of food and the rest was thrown out because that is their “policy.”
Food was not worth the all you can eat price. Not enough servers. Most are rude and concentrated only on their assinged tables. Food took so long to be served. Wondering if it was deliberate or not. Took forever for the bill. Manager does not even care. Poor management. Food was good but service is WORST!
Used to be when you went for hibachi, the chefs put on a perormance for you. Not here. The hibachi was awful. My steak was more like leather. The calamari was rubbery. At least the sushi rolls were ok.Our neighbors at the other end of the table received under cooked chicken.I dont think I will be back.
