If you expect the same experience as the old one, you are very wrong. You can tell whoever bought this place has zero passion, not only for food but for atmosphere and the community it once had. No decorations. Workers are Not friendly. I got a smoothie and it was more like a slushie with syrup in it. All ice chunks. I’m not even sure real fruit was used.. The donut racks are all empty. I got an apple turnover that was made with a weird thick tortilla, only about 20% of it was apple filling. The rest was just dry, tortilla like bread. Place just looks rundown and lifeless. So sad to see. Had a lot of potential.

If I could give a zero I would. Med. coffee and this tiny dry disgusted muffin for 7 dollars,Never again. There’s no way this place is Portuguese run..Should have stayed closed…
That place is not working out.Not even busy at all.
I got one of those pistachio pastries that I wish they would make more of (hint hint;-)) and it was delicious.

I’ve been going to Sunrise for years and with the new owners some changes have been made but we continued to go and get food. This morning we went and there was a 2-3 year old child running around the back kitchen area and it really grossed us out. Just not sanitary for a kid to be unsupervised around the donuts and baked goods.

I wasn’t very impressed. I ordered a linguica roll and coconut bread. Neither tasted very fresh. Service was lackluster. Won’t be back.

My mother went here to order a cake for a shared birthday party and the whole experience was HORRIBLE! She asked for a certain style to feed a specific amount of people and was talked into ordering something different. When she went to go pick up the cake on the agreed upon date and time, the cake was not ready!!! The bakery then asked my mom to come back in 30 minutes to pick up the cake. My mother goes back and the cake is not at all what she ordered. The amount of people attending the party was discussed when she placed the order and my mom received a small tall cake that was not enough to feed the party! ( how embarrassing ) The cake looked freshly slapped together as the layers were sliding all over each other. The bakery tried to compensate by changing the price and offering free cupcakes but that doesn't change the fact that they weren't able to fulfill the order! I would not recommend ordering any cakes from here.

Read the whole review! Typically never leave reviews but I had to on this one. Waited over 20 minutes for simple stuff that could be grabbed in the cases. Cases were basically empty which is wild to me since it’s a BAKERY! No management was around to help employees with other customers or issues they were having. The worst part of it all… THERE WERE ANTS IN MY COFFEE!!! Not one, not two, but THREE ants. I was home when I realized it and decided it was not worth to go back. Tried to call to get a refund for it but no one answered. NEVER. AGAIN.
