This restaurant was a big disappointment. It was Dark and dingy. It wasn’t very clean. Service was slow. The food was terrible was so overcooked. We couldn’t eat it. The fried food was cold and gave us terrible indigestion, overpriced, disappointed..com

So don’t go here for the food.
Go here if you have kids that can run around outside in the nice weather.
A lot of 20 year olds that stand around instead of actually waiting tables.
A few 14 year olds that bus tables that shouldn’t be bussed yet!!!
Getting a little pricey for the meh bar food….

Love coming here... their lobster rolls, boneless wings, clam chowder to mention a few are a fav! Had a take out burger recently, was slightly overcooked but will continue to come here for years to come!

Very good and very busy. Service was great, and food was top-notch. Our waitress was spot on, even with the business and heat of the day. The only thing keeping this review at a 4-star was the portion difference in the same meal. Both my son and I order the fish and chips. He ended up with what seemed like a whole fish on his plate while I was given a minnow. We laughed about it, but it was quite the difference. Our fish and chips were cooked perfectly, nice and moist. My other son had a burger that he ordered medium rare. It was perfectly cooked and delicious, he said. Pricy, but as I have learned in my first Cape visit, this is the norm. Will definitely be back on my next visit to the area.
Kid-friendliness: No kid menu that I saw, but friendly options from a burger to chicken parm to a steak and cheese.

I hate complaining about Chaplins because I’ve come here for over 20 years. The service is just horrible. Can I please have silverware with my dinner? Two nights in a row my 4 year old waited 25 minutes for a water. If your servers cannot handle basic waitstaff duties, they need smaller sections.

Chapin’s has been on my try list for a while because it is such a popular place in the summer. I went with 2 other families. We had a short wait and were pleased with our table and service. I was disappointed with the food and found most everything mediocre and bland. We had the nachos, fish and chips, fish tacos, hamburger, and fish sandwich. The seafood was just ok, and dry. One member in our group really liked the tuna sashimi. Drinks were good, and perhaps this place shines for its cocktail side. I won’t be rushing back.

Very well know dennisport eatery. Food variety and preperation was excellent. Due to popularity wait may be long but worth it as you can order drinks and hang by patio.

Waited an hour for mediocre food. Live music and yard games were fun while we waited. Had some drinks and raw bar treats while waiting. Make sure you check your bills! We were charge $44 for a glass of wine and at dinner, the prices were ringing up higher than what was on the menu.
