On of my favorite local West Dennis breakfast spots. Always solid and reliable with folks that are friendly. We mostly sit at the counter where the hustle and bustle is lively. I love their bacon and eggs - always done right. Note: cash only (but there is an ATM inside)

The food was very tasty! The pancakes were big, light, airy, and soft like a mouth pillow. The bacon stripe were a little small as was the sausage link, but they were delicious. The home fries were seasoned nicely, but I am not sure they were homemade. I suspect not. The freshly made breads are nicely toasted on the griddle. I had the pear raspberry. Only order it if youre sure you're going to eat it. Fresh bread doesn't keep well. I will definitely be back as a regular. I got the School Street combo plus the toast.
The atmosphere is beachy, which is perfect. It has yet to achieve that lived-in charm that The Red Cottage has, but it is bright and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and in good humor. They are knowledgeable and can help guide first timers well.

We live locally and love this cafe. We enjoy the home baked breads and great food. In the summer it is hard to get in but they have a nice waiting area and free coffee.
The waiters and waitresses are really great and do their best to recommend specials and bring the food out fresh and hot.

We visited in the off-season, overall enjoyed our meal. The food tasted good and came out quickly, which we appreciated. The only downside was noticing a few long, thin hairs or fuzzies in the food (not human hair, but something that didn’t belong). Aside from that, it was a good experience.

Both of us felt like trying someplace different for breakfast today so I searched the Cape Cod Restaurants Group page for “best breakfast” and we decided on Good Friends Cafe on School Street in West Dennis. We were fortunate to be seated right away and Tia came by shortly to serve coffee. I decided to try the Pear Raspberry Bread French Toast. I was expecting it to be like banana bread, but it was more like a brioche or challah with big chunks of soft pear and raspberries. It was cinnamony and delicious. I also ordered a side of their homemade corned beef hash which was chunky and beautifully browned. My husband ordered the Apple Honey Ham Melt, which was served on thick slices of their own Apple Walnut bread. Melty Swiss cheese and Dijon mustard topped thick slices of ham, ham that was the kind served at Easter, definitely not from a deli. They substituted home fries for the usual chips. Both of us were delighted with our breakfasts and we will definitely return. --Elaine and Dave Doolittle

Everyone we encountered were nice and welcoming. It felt like home. We ordered the shaved steak omelette and it was amazing! And the home fries! Omgoodness! Everything was so fresh and had great flavor. It was so good we went back again the next morning before our long drive back home. Definitely a place to check out if in the area.
