La Scala is a very homey, down to earth place with great classic Italian food. They still offer bread and butter, and all entrees include salad with a great Italian dressing. Hardly any restaurant offers salad at no cost! Their bar is long and yet fills up first, and it's like Cheers, where everyone know everyone, and the bartender knows everyone's drinks. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. If you want good tasty Italian food and don't require a fancy environment, this is your place.
We used this resteraunt on September 13, 2024 for my son's rehersal dinner. We had the Italian Buffet. It has the best Italian food I have ever had. I have gone out to other Italian resteraunts and they do not compare to Lascala Cape Cod. Would advise this resteraunt to anyone looking for excellent Italian food. If the scale for resteraunts has a 10 as the best rate, then this rates a 15 on the scale for best resteraunts.
I love this place!!
Really simple Italian dishes, but very good. Wine list is a bit lacking. Winter dining room only, very nicely decorated for Christmas
Great food! Neighborly feel... Fun atmosphere. Great decision to eat here!

Service was the best. Salad had their Italian dressing which was great. I got shrimp scampi, it just didn’t have flavor. Homemade bread was okay, also lacked flavor too.

Food just did not have the greatest flavor. Food was just lacking something. Service was very good. Reasonably priced.

They screamed, ran after and swore at 80yr olds that didn't tip after they waited an hour and a half for their food.. were never checked on..had to go find a mgr to find out what the wait was about or where their drinks were. Oh and their food was awful. How they treated these people was assault. Another waitress not even involved jumped in on it too. This place should be shut down.

If you are looking for a cozy Italian Restaurant that is not on 28 or 6A then this is one of those spots. The Chicken Parm is the best in the Cape and the homemade cheese Ravioli is fantastic. We have never been disappointed with our choices at LaScala.

May have been the worst “Italian “ food I’ve ever had. The chicken parm tasted like it was breaded in straight plain breadcrumbs, was frozen, then thrown directly into a deep fryer with old oil. The sauce was completely tasteless. I don’t think seasoning exists in this restaurant. The linguini with oil and garlic was literally swimming in oil. There was a 1/4 cup of it in the bottom of the dish with gobs of garlic. No color on the plates, not even a speck of parsley or anything to make the meal at least look appealing. The bread was as dry as the Sahara desert. Clearly this is a case of the same cook for probably 30 years that has zero passion and gave up ages ago. There was a window air conditioner less than 1 foot from our corner table blasting on us the entire meal. The AC, or the carpet smelled of old must. It was very overbearing. The server was fine, but was clearly overwhelmed. Did not check on us once during the entire meal. People were being sat at dirty tables and they would come a few minutes later to clean them. Why not clean them first and have the guests wait at the hostess stand? Very overpriced meals. Kids spaghetti with 1 meatball was $14, a plain pasta with butter was also $14. $90 for 2 kids meals, a chicken parm and a linguini with oil and garlic. No alcohol and I had a water. Sorry, but management needs to take a hard look at the kitchen and make some changes before they lose all their customers.
