The Mercantile Reviews
Best, best lunch in the area! My favorite?! The East-West sandwich with extra extra amazing kimchi!! Check it out and I promise you will find an amazing menu and fabulous team who serve up joy and tasty treats every day! 🙌🥳💖
Today I went to the Merc at 2:55pm and they close at 3pm, I knew I was taking a chance. The staff was closing up but very politely pointed me towards the grab and go case which was still full of options. I love their ham and cheese croissants, I asked if they had any and one young man stopped cashing out the drawer and went back to look for me. There were none in the back but two in the case that were day old, I was so excited. I brought them home and heated them up. Delicious....read full review
Everything is always fresh and delish and served with a smile! I can see your eyes smiling with your mask on! Coffee never disappoints and I always get the special of the day. Love the Merc!

Menu
The Mercantile is a decent spot for a sandwich, offering good but not exceptional food. The menu features a chicken salad, which some customers find mayonnaise-heavy. Despite this, the restaurant has its fans, with many families enjoying their meals so much that they return for more. The Mercantile also prides itself on its reliable service, with staff able to handle complex orders efficiently and with a smile. Many customers appreciate the friendly staff, making it a favorite for breakfast and lunch. The place is known for its great food, friendly service, and a pleasant atmosphere to spend a few minutes during the day. It is regarded as a little piece of the Cape, with fantastic sandwiches, pastries, and coffee. Customers often find it convenient to order online, especially when grabbing sandwiches on the way back from the beach. The staff are consistently very friendly, which adds to its charm. Some suggest adding more signage for non-locals to easily find order pickup, trays, and recycling areas. Recent visitors highlight the best lunch in the area, praising the East-West sandwich with extra kimchi and the team that serves joy and tasty treats every day. Others mention that even close to closing time, staff politely directed them to the grab and go case, where they could find day-old ham and cheese croissants, which they heated and enjoyed. Many find the muffins great and appreciate the courteous and kind staff. Although it’s not quite what it used to be in the 90s and early 2000s, it remains a phenomenal spot with plenty of seating, and a consistent favorite for both locals and visitors.
