Great shrimp plate! No oily taste. Lots of big plump shrimp with onion rings and great fries.

The food is fresh but very bland. We ordered fish and chips the fish batter was with no seasoning.

15 dollars for a fried chicken sandwich that was under cooked on a soaked with oil bun and a pc of wilted lettuce onion rings where great but I’m disgusted

If you are in the mood for fried seafood, then you will enjoy The Original Seafood Restaurant. The portions are large, and the quality is good. Prices are a bit high, but what isn't nowadays. We've ordered take-out there 5 to 6 times over the past 2 years.

We enjoyed a tasty lunch today at The Original Seafood Restaurant (527 Main Street, Dennis Port). This place has been around since the 1950s and I recall eating lunch there when I was a wee lad many decades ago. But I hadn't dined there as an adult, until today. My wife ordered their lobster roll with "extra crispy" fries, I ordered the fried whole belly clam roll and we split an iced tea. The lobster roll was stuffed with fresh lobster meat, easily 6 oz (for $29) with very light mayo and a properly toasted New England hot dog roll. [For those who want a larger lobster roll, they are available in 3/4 lb and 1 lb sizes with prces appropriate to their size.] My clams (at $27) were delicious--lightly fried, small whole bellies, crispy, consistently sized, tender to the tooth, and with a sweet after taste. And there were more than enough to share with my wife, so she could enjoy both flavor sensations. There were almost no crumbs in the bottom of the roll which is, for me at least, the sign of a good fry and there were no clumps of fried clams. We learned while dining there that the current owner--Mark--had just bought the place in May. He was behind the counter taking orders along with another friendly staff person. He's weathered the first summer of continuing the tradition of The Original and will remain open deep into the Fall, though they will close for a few months over the winter season. A lovely day for some beach time, a lobster roll, and fried clams. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Great service. Clean. Large portions. But sadly, food not up to par. Flavorless. Over breaded. Best thing we had was the scallops. I'm unlikely to return.

Delicious fried seafood, reasonable prices, and friendly staff. Also, plenty of parking and seating. We took a bit of a detour off the road on our way to Provincetown because we like to try different local options on our way to our annual summer Cape Visit. While this isn't top on our list, we would certainly return here if in the area.
Truly the original, and the best! Chef/owners are amazing cooks, friendly and add to the ambience. Clean, clean food prep and eating area. Prices great for the quality and quantity. Delicious!! Absolutely worth the trip!

Have very good fish and chips and fried seafood. Family has been going to this place since it opened in 1953. Under new ownership. They still use same recipes and have added a few more items to menu. Our go to place when we don't want to cook or need a "fix" of good fried food.

We had clam chowder, a fish sandwich and an oyster roll. The food was just delicious! The chow-da was so good we got a large one to go for tomorrow. Great food!
