Scargo was a short walk from where we were staying and had great reviews. It was nice weather so we asked to be seated on the porch for our dinner. Our waiter was helpful with specials and personal favorites. We tried both seafood and pasta dishes. Our waiter meal was delicious. We have been back since. It is one of our favorite places to eat while vacationing on Cape Cod.
Food and service are consistently very good. Love their pork chop, and their bolognese. Service is friendly and attentive. Definitely make a reservation because it does get crowded in season.
Swordfish was great. French Onion soup was amazing. Creme Brulee was fantastic. Great place!

It's rare that I have an exceptional meal. The seafood chowder is easily the best I've ever had and I also the salmon entree, which I didn't really expect much but at the first bite I was like oh my God this is ALSO incredible. Just a great meal all around. I know this sounds like a fake review but I assure you my friend and I were both blown away.
We ate at Scargo last night after golf - fantastic food and service in the bar area - shout out to Larry and Alex - awesome atmosphere

My husband, I and our best friends who are visiting us from Pennsylvania had dinner there tonight, Thursday, October 9th. We had excellent service and great food, drinks and dessert. Our server Destiny was excellent as well as her brother who cleared our table. We had a great time. We live here on Cape Cod in Harwich Port and Scargo never disappoints us.
The food was absolutely delicious, the chowder, chopped salad, and lobster sandwich, all delightful. Do you know the best part, Anke. Sit in her section. She will keep you smiling with her sense of humor and her kindness makes you feel like you're family. She's also super helpful with the menu. Thank you to everyone at Scargo. You made my first dinner in Cape Cod a memory I will never forget. My husband even bought a T-shirt.

Food and staff is amazing ❤️ our favorite place to dine.
What a great night at Scargo with my friend and her daughter! The lobster pappardelli was delightful as was the grapenuts custard, and the queso fundido special. Lovely service, perfect table on the deck, great noise level. It might not be this cozy during the busy season, but it was really a perfect low-key night out in Dennis in September.

Food was ok, didn't measure up to the hype, this place is highly rated and came with outstanding recomendations and experiences so I had to go. We got there about 1 pm and were seated quickly, the hostess gave us the option of a table or booth, we went booth. Our server was very nice tried extremely hard to make an ice tea for me that was flavored, apparently they don't offer flavored ice tea. she had them add pink lemonade to my tea..She was attentive but the room we were in got busy and she was by herself. We skipped the appetizers but did get bread, one end of the small loaf was burned but it was ok. I got the herb crusted roasted day boat sea scallops with a bacon and corn succotash and a white miso beurre blanc. The scallops didn't look like they were roasted and there was no real herb flavor although the top of the scallops were covered with a green flakey/leafy tasteless seasoning. The scallops were cooked to an in between soft to a chewy consistency. The white miso beurre blanc sauce was barely noticeable and very bland, the succotash was ok and seemed to over power any real flavor the white miso beurre blanc sauce had.The cost of this dish was $36. My son got the chicken carbonara, the sauce was'nt as thick as other carbonara we've had. The chicken medallions appeared to have maybe been frozen and had a spongy chewy consistency. The menu described them as sautéed chicken medallions but didn't look like they were sautéed, more like boiled. This dish was $29. They seem to have a large following of regular repeat customers that often offer them up as a great place for food and service. The prices were about average but for the quality we got was overpriced.I came, I saw and probably wouldn't have it on my list of go to places.
