Our group of 4 visited the Scargo Cafe as newcomers, and the experience was even better than we had heard! First off, the Cape in early-March is practically shutdown for the winter, so finding an open restaurant is a challenge in itself. But not only was Scargo Cafe open, it was a quite filled with customers. Nonetheless, the service was prompt, friendly and experienced. Drinks orders were taken within a couple minutes and delivered soon thereafter (nice selection of wines and draft beers!). The menu had a wide diversity of choices, quite impressive. We ordered the special beef stir fry, grilled swordfish with rice/asparagus, and shrimp asian salad (w/ almonds+cranberries). Topped off by grape-nut custard (a house specialty). Everything was excellent and filling. Will certainly return when back to the Cape.

Tried SCARGO for dinner last night. They were super crowded but do take reservations. Drinks selection was good. We started with oysters that were fresh and tasty. I ordered the short ribs with mashed potatoes. I wish it came with a vegetables also but didn't. It was really tender and delicious. My husband ordered the filet mignon with scalloped potatoes and vegetables. It was a nice fillet and he said it was delicious. Our waitress was wonderful. So attentive and accommodating. We will definitely be back.

My recent visit to a beloved Cape Cod restaurant left me thoroughly impressed. The food is consistently excellent, with fresh salads and a diverse drink selection. Personal favorites include the sweet potato deepers, arugula salad, and beet salad. They have a nice selection for vegans, vegetarians, and gluten-free diners, and you can always ask the chef to prepare something of the menu based on the ingredients of your choice. At least this is my experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and inviting. Highly recommended for exceptional food and hospitality on the Cape.

Great service, attentive staff. Nice setting, convenient location and parking...food is great. Consistent. Great lobster rolls, the pasta dishes are all good. The sweet potato waffle fries are great. Portions are okay. Menu is on the smaller side. Save room for dessert. On the pricier side but the quality is there. Always busy. Good sign.
