The hospitality begins when the matron at the door greets you with “Look, if you’re just having drinks and apps you’re sitting out there. I ain’t putting you on the porch. If you’re having dinner, you can squeeze in up there on 2 tables pushed together”
It was 3:30. There were, to count, 11 people at the restaurant.
The hospitality continues when the waitress informs Grandma that she “Can’t make any substitutions on our most popular burger. So sorry about that!”
The request was spicy mayo on the side.
The hospitality reaches a crowning moment when the ice water arrives in 10-oz plastic cups that buckle when you pick them up, the drinks are served in the cans they were shipped in (or again, plastic cups) and dinner arrives on - not even exaggerating - paper plates about 20% south of Chinet-quality. Sauces oozing straight through to the table. Plastic knives (oh yes - all plastic cutlery) cutting through said soggy plates. They got the Shanty part right.
Survey says: anywhere but here, folks. It’s a glorified pub with crab cakes from the freezer and fries as beige as Vineyard Vines khakis. So many places to explore and enjoy $22 burgers. So many better places.

Food is mediocre at best coming out of a dirty closet sized kitchen, over priced & served on paper plates or cheap insulting reused baskets.
Drinks in plastic cups…hostess micromanages the seating to the point of customer frustration which if you can imagine is the worst of it.
Be sure to bring your OFF bug spray!

Horrible manager did not allow my handicapped Mom to sit at a table near the handicap parking spot. Cheryl the Manager is a true monster. She wasn’t even polite about it. Ugh
everything was great and our server Nick was fantastic.

Nice location right next to the pier, good food and drinks. Not many vegetarian options. Sat at the outdoor bar which is a little cramped but still worth it considering it was walk-up and the wait for a table was an hour. And we still got good service from Will. Koozies came with our canned drinks!

As someone who bartends and works in service industry, I have a lot of respect for those in this industry. Unfortunately today we were let down by this establishment that we have supported over the summers. The hostess was very rude to my mother who has Parkinson’s and struggles to stand for long period of time. She offered a seating area with extra chairs to a family in-front of us to sit at and wait at till their table was ready. There were 3 chairs empty left over after the family sat and the hostess barked at my mother and told her she couldn’t sit in the extra chairs and that they were for the family in front of her who was already sat. The family who witness this interaction gladly offered the extra chairs that they weren’t using. This whole interaction could have been avoided and resulted differently had the hostess given grace and kindness, however that is not what was received. I hate leaving bad reviews but this left such a bad taste in our mouths. What saved this whole experience is that we received wonderful service from our server and the support staff who were super attentive, kind, and hospitable. Thank you Alyssa!!!

Went in for some steamers they don’t have steamers the waitress didn’t say two words to me not hello goodbye nothing

Food was good, service was awful, setting was nice. The waitress took our order, brought back food and we never saw her again. Needed refills on our drinks (they are small plastic cups), could have used napkins or silverware. Not sure if we would go back
