Went last night with a friend of mine to celebrate my birthday. Our server was Sina and she was amazing. The braised short ribs were delicious and the atmosphere was festive .

I got there at 11:40 And the door was locked, they open at 11:30. I sat at the bar and ordered my favorite mussels , they were excellent but the bar tender , she never asked how they were. I have been going there for years even at the old building. Something is different the staff is missing something. I believe the ownership has changed and to me it shows. The building and setting is still beautiful.

Fabulous “Michelin star” quality food!! Best seared scallop special over homemade mushroom ravioli with variety of fresh gourmet ingredients (mushrooms). Unbelievable fresh beet salad, generous portion with brilliant dressing pistachio (I believe). Crumbled goat cheese. I have photos - format doesn’t have option.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch with my mom with a very pleasant server, Joe, who has been there 7 yrs (that says a lot about a good work environment). Butternut squash & apple bisque was hot & hearty! Cobb salad still on the menu (good), but the presentation has changed over the yrs. For dessert, we split the housemade apple 🍎 crisp w/ french vanilla ice cream - yum! 😋 Starting Oct 21, 2024, they'll be closed Mondays & Tuesdays for winter - FYI.

When server was questioned re: dessert status his reply (and not nicely) ‘I put the order in over 20 min.ago; it’s not my fault.’ When chocolate torte was finally delivered,(& by now the restaurant NOT busy; no excuse for delay) it was the tiniest sliver imaginable. Waiter most unfriendly.

There were plenty of open parking spots and after I took one a non English speaking man insisted on him praking my car. I refused and left,won't go back.
We enjoyed The Marshside! The heirloom tomato appetizer was the standout for me. My husband and I prefer to sit at the bar, which was full upon our arrival, so we opted to put our name on the list for a table. The sweet hosts were kind enough to save two spots at the bar that opened up while we were outside waiting for a table. Great experience.

We always eat at the marshside when on the cape..usually once a year. Our recent visit I ordered shrimp scampi. It was the worst I have ever had. It was literally swimming in a watery liquid that had no flavor & wide noodles. $30! I don’t like to complain to the server and she was wonderful!
