We love the Cowmunity! The Sailing Cow is now our number vacation spot to visit! The service, food, and legen-dairy atmosphere is worth the trip. They were beyond kind to my elderly grandfather while on our vacation, and we will surely be back. Thank you Sailing Cow!

Probably great for beach takeout or post beach drinks, but avoid during the breakfast/lunch turnover because for some reason they can't make food from the lunch menu while they're cooking breakfast? Staff seemed flustered that people were showing up at 11ish on a Sunday. Odd. Not sure how diners do it. Sandwich was greasy lobster roll was okay. Convenient location if you're staying in the area.

We are visiting Cape cod for the first time and we’re looking for a nice spot for dinner. We wanted a smaller place with a simple menu. This place was perfect, we were greeted with a smile and the service was fantastic. We started with fried pickles and a stuffed quahog. Both were good. I had the lobster pie and my husband had the fried clam dinner. We liked both. Will definitely return before vacation is over. Love that they have breakfast as well! They also offer outdoor seating but it was way too windy to sit outside tonight. Seats were fat girl friendly too!

I never do reviews but first time I came here to express something if owner is seeing is seeing it. Service was very good. I liked it a lot. Food was average. But when I paid and I paid cash I gave 10% tips
And she was sooooooooooooo angry like I had committed a crime
She (old lady) confronted me in front of my friends and they also felt bad.
Place is nice but tipping is a personal choice and still…. I left a good tip.. but still she was VERY rude. Done tell her anything but just let her know that tipping is a personal choice.

Was there on a mid week night. The clam chowder was luke warm at best. nothing great going on there. the regular fish n chips(1small to med piece) was not very good. lacked any flavor and may have been bit under cooked. barretts alehouse in fall river is so much better. charge $3 more for onion rings (didnt know that). french fries were not good either more like soft raw potatoes. didnt get a chance to express to server regarding the quality as I was never asked anything about the food, just if want more drinks.
Good atmosphere , I did like the setup there but probably wont be going back.

Yearly visit (or two!), not a long wait this year! And so accommodating for our large-ish party and high chair.

This may be a good place to grab a drink due to its lively atmosphere on a Friday night at 7pm but I’d skip it if you’re looking for a good meal. Especially if not everyone in your party will be eating seafood as they don’t seem to put much effort into their non seafood dishes from what I experienced.
The fried clams were decent but they were likely pre-battered and frozen so they’re hard to mess up. I think they were supposed to be whole clams even though they looked more like strips but this was probably still the best dish we ordered. The chicken fingers were bowling alley quality at best. The “homemade” meatballs were probably homemade but were small. While didn’t try them, the person who ordered them said they didn’t like them. This may have just been a matter of preference but based on the rest of the food, I’m guessing they weren’t great.
There was plenty of lobster in my hot lobster roll but it just didn’t hit the spot. I can’t put my finger on what makes a great lobster roll but I know it when it’s there and this one was lacking so I barely ended up eating half of it. I suspect the lobster wasn’t very fresh but I can’t be sure. Either way, it was just OK but I’m open to the possibility that it could be really good on another day. Another person in my party ordered a cold lobster roll and they ate the whole thing!!!
So far I’d chalk this experience up to being an average to subpar dining experience at your local tourist trap but then came the macaroni and cheese. It was reheated Kraft brand Mac and cheese. Yes they sell a 1/2 bowl of Kraft Mac and cheese for $9 on their kids menu. My daughter was deciding what to order and said she wanted to order it but hoped it wasn’t Kraft. I told her there was no way they were charging $9 for Kraft Mac and cheese. Who would do that? That may be my mistake for not asking but I did bring it the our waitresses attention by telling her that my daughter wasn’t really satisfied. She politely offered to tell the owners about my complaint. While she was very nice and offered otherwise good service, I feel the right thing to do in this situation would’ve been to offer to bring her something else but we didn’t push the issue.
The main reason that I’m writing this review is just incase she forgot to mention it to the owners. Dear Sailing Cow Owners, serving reheated Kraft Mac and cheese at a restaurant is unacceptable in my opinion. I don’t even buy that stuff in the grocery store, and I’d never willingly visit a restaurant that serves it. Even from a seafood place on the kids menu. I understand that you’re a seafood restaurant but sometimes people are going to order non seafood dishes. If you’re not willing to put the effort into those dishes, they shouldn’t be on the menu.
All in all, this would be a decent place to grab a drink on a Friday night but I wouldn’t eat there again especially if people in your party will be ordering non seafood. You can get similar quality food (non-seafood) the local movie theater concession stand at 1/2 the price.

Stuffed quahog was good. Fried brussel spouts were good but tiny portion. Ceasar salad was swimming in dressing. Had no cheese and was not romaine lettuce. Calamari was very good. Our waiter was fantastic. Might go again but probably won't

Stopped in on 8/22 with wife and two grandkids. Placed order for 4 meals and got 3. Poor service as waitress didn't even check on us until after we asked to see the manager. Very disappointed!
