50Kitchen has the best cornbread! I look forward to their next chapter.
I am new to the city and just moved to Dorchester. I'm DEVASTATED that they are closing!!!!!! The food was so good. There wasn't anything on the menu, brunch or dinner, that I didn't enjoy. I hope they find another location or get a food truck!!! If you haven't tried it, you have until Feb 12 to do so!!! I've have chicken and waffle, fish and grits, corn bread, kimchi collards. I've been to N.O. quite a few times and the PO boy here is HITTING. Wish I had gone more since moving here.
One of a kind soul food stop. Charming, delicious, and definitely full of soul. Highly recommend the chicken & waffles and corn bread!
Went in for Sunday brunch. Food is super tasty and service is great! One suggestion - add option of coffee and side of eggs, bacon (a few breakfast options) for brunch. It would be great if those were added to menu. Otherwise, you might as well call it lunch.
It will be bad to keep this alone to myself I came across the best binary expect ever Mrs Trey Loudis who really help me to invest, she is very honest and diligent in her work. All I did was invest $500 and within 7 days she made $6,548 profit for me. Contact her via
The cornbread is out of this world tasty. Ribs fall off the bone. Love this restaurant.
This place is pretty solid when it comes to food, definitely need to come back and try other options! Though it wasn't the liveliest place for an indoor dinner, the service was great and staff was friendly.
This place is amazing! Delish Shrimp PoBoy, perfect sweet potato fries and creamy, savory mashed cauliflower.Awesome friendly service too!
Thoroughly enjoyed my visit, the meal as well as the service; liked that you could order off the brunch or regular menu and that you could get some of the items as an appetizer or entree (just get the entree as you will wish you did), as others have said the cornbread is life.
My partner took me here for brunch on my birthday on 9/24. Food is amazing! She and I were absolutely amazed by the food and service. I had chicken and waffles and she ordered the shrimp and grits. Both were delicious and made to perfection. We also ordered the honey fried cornbread. We have not been able to stop dreaming about it. It's that good. The only thing I personally did not care for was the rosemary infused syrup that is served with the chicken and waffles. I suggest having regular syrup as another option. We can't wait to come back!

What an excellent lunch with great service. And a visit from the chef/owner is always a plus. Ordered several starters. The bang bang cauliflower was ordered twice because it was so good. Burbon wings and egg roll also top notch. We had a chicken and waffles, sliders and Asian chop salad. The chicken batter was light and airy with the syrup and homemade butter. Wow. Will definitely go again...food made with love.
Their honey fried cornbread brought tears to my eyes. ?? Real talk! The 1st bite tastes like a funnel cake. The nostalgia of childhood and carnivals comes rushing back to you. The outside is crunchy and the inside is soft, warm cornbread. If you had a black grandma (a.k.a. big momma) their homemade cornbread memories come flooding back in the next bite reminding you of the days in their kitchen.Awww the tears in the eyes!!!! ?????It's THAT good. I smashed all 3 pieces BY MYSELF along with my meal. At two points, I abandoned my chicken ciders (which were good) for another piece of this magical fried honey cornbread. YOU CAN'T NOT HAVE A PIECE!
my husband summed ut up in one word after eating the shrimp and grits "wow"
Really great food! Generous portions! I recommend ordering the fried honey corn bread! It’s a cute and cozy spot to try!
My husband was very happy with his po boy. The fried corn bread was good definetly unique because who has ever heard of that! The staff was very accommodating of our allergies which we appreciated! I didn’t enjoy my chicken and waffles or the syrup but someone else might enjoy it just fine. I was a little confused walking in because I didn’t see a menu. I did eventually see a tv with a menu but we were given paper menus to look at. I might return to try something else but reluctantly.I liked that they had an outdoor seating area.
