The folks working here are always incredibly nice, and being able to snag some ribs, brisket, or a pulled pork sandwich with a DBC beer is what really makes this a good call.

My partner and I went here for an early dinner after going to an expo in Boston. Wanted to grab a few beers from Dorchester and some food. Last time we came by here, we got a few snacks and thought they were solid. This time, not nearly as enjoyable. The chicken sandwich didn't deliver to expectations; fried okay but genuinely was tough to eat with lacked enough juiciness to it. The sauce and bun was excellent but the meat was just weak to what was listed on the menu. Far too stringy and tough for a family BBQ place with land standing customer popular recipes. The brisket sandwich was very greasy and oily with rather general and bland BBQ sauce and unnoticeable cheese that had been absorbed into the bun. The whole sandwich fell apart on us entirely so if you order this make sure to re-wrap it super tight. The fry basket was good, hand cut, wonderfully salted and yummy. The best way I can describe this food was if someone tried to make BBQ off a recipe but forgot to truly put the heart and love in it. The two individuals that were attending the kitchen seemed to be nice and I had no issue with the interaction other than a generic food service interaction (no complaints, no compliments).I wish the experience had been better, I'll definitely be trying this again next time I'm in the area and hopefully I'll have a better experience. The food was not BAD, But for today? It wasn't it. I just felt like I've gotten more flavorful sandwiches from chain restaurants which was a sad feeling since I know this is a family run restaurant and I wanted to support it. Don't let this review discourage you from trying the food, hopefully it was just an off day. Please try their food to make your own opinion.

Shocked to see low reviews when I thought I the food was the best I’ve had in a long time. I got the dumpster fries with pork and mac and cheese and pickles. I took a bite of pork and was instantly in love. Literally perfectly cooked. Mac and cheese was pretty good, no complaints. Pickles were sweet which was a nice suprise. Everyone around me had rave reviews about their food

SO MUCH FOOD! Everything is delicious, bursting with flavor, and worth every cent, but I can't emphasize enough that this place will try to make you explode with food. I absolutely loved it. Maybe split an entree between friends or something? Also, this place is worth checking out for the "Museum of Bad Art," which is in the same building. You can enjoy delicious bbq, try not to explode, then enjoy bad art - it's a good time.

What a fantastic experience! The ribs were amazing as was the fresh hand cut french fries. Iona was very friendly and hospitable. Portions were large; prices were very fair and the food quality was excellent. My friends enjoyed their dishes -- brisket sandwiches and barbecue chicken. With the delicious beer next door, this was a perfect compliment to our lunch. I would highly recommend others to dine here.

Very expensive but it tasted good, average size portion for $20 cheese fries...

I remember as a kid, going to the parking lot on Columbia road and buying ribs and sides for my grandma and aunt. This food was not the heart and soul of that truck, the max and cheese was bland, the collard greens was more like a kalergreen, the chicken was moist but the sauce just didn’t stick at ALL. This is definitely not Mr and Mrs Hill food truck that I’d walk to and stand in that line for.. Please do better new generation.

I just had the best beef brisket of my life last night. Sandwhich was enormous even for me and I’m a big eater. Went to their page expecting to see a million 5 star reviews and was shocked to see some people have had bad experiences. Not sure if anything has recently changed but this place is

I would give this place -0 stars if it were an option. The food here is a joke. Everything here is just disgusting. From the Mac and cheese that was obviously made days prior and served days later to the disgusting brisket that taste like burnt rubber. I mean really??? Making us black people look bad!!!! Get it together! Disgusting!! I am shocked for words!

Service was quick and accurate. Recommend the dumpster fries and the brisket sandwich. Absolutely do not recommend the peach cobbler, which was an 8 oz container of lukewarm peaches with sad strips of wet flavorless dough.

Two stars because the fries were ok and service was quick and convenient when wanting food at the brewery.Pulled pork sandwich was dry. And just not IT. B-Vegan bbq sandwich, good texture but flavor was not it.Pretzel was basic. Definitely thawed from frozen. Smoked Beer cheese was disgusting. Tastes like Velveeta doused in liquid smoke. ?Overall I'd skip this place for a meal and only get the fries with some beer. It's just not worth it. ????It's really a shame because the beer at Dorchester Brewing Company is really top notch.Based on the 90+ reviews (that I didn't read before ordering), I suggest the owners strongly consider revising the recipes/menu. Until then, I'm only ordering the fries.

Got a chicken sandwich and it was very good. Seems like deboned thigh, texture was great. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. More pickles please. I’ll be back!

I recently attended an event with friends at Dorchester Brewing Company. M&M BBQ is located inside of the brewery.M&M offers a small, yet solid selection of starters/shareables, salads, handhelds/sandwiches, barbecue, and a good selection of sides! We decided to order the food to-go, as we wanted to head back to our hotel after a long day. I should’ve checked the order over prior to leaving. You should not have to do this, but I’d highly recommend it to avoid disappointment. We decided to order the Pretzel to start off with. It is listed on the menu as a “salted and buttery 5oz pretzel” served with either brown mustard or smoked cheese. I wish I could let you know how it was. There was NO PRETZEL in my order.I did receive the cheese sauce for said pretzel- which I found had a very odd taste to it. I’ve ordered beer-cheese with pretzels before and never noticed such an off taste.Next, we decided to order the “Mass Ave” handheld/sandwich. It is a bratwurst braised in the brewery’s beer and it is topped with sauerkraut and honey mustard. We both thought the brat was so-so. Then again, we may be a bit biased having come from the Midwest! I’m used to a solid brat. This just wasn’t it. The bun was similar to one you’d get a lobster roll served on.The sauerkraut was tasty and plentiful. However, they just dump on the mustard which isn’t very good. They do this to disguise that the brat is tough, dry, fatty, and has zero taste to it. It was honestly a very poor attempt.Lastly, we decided to share 1/2 a BBQ chicken. I’ll say, this is the only menu item that was somewhat worth it. The chicken was juicy and delicious. The meat was seasoned well and the sauce was not overwhelming. However, the sauce was extremely runny- as if it was watered down.It doesn’t stick to or stay on/in the meat itself. My guess is it’s the recipe or it’s watered down. We decided to split a few sides to go with our chicken. We ordered the cornbread and the BBQ baked beans. The cornbread was delicious. They come as cornbread “muffins” essentially. They were still warm and the butter melted just right! I think they were the best item in our entire meal!Sadly, we also did NOT receive our BBQ baked beans, so I can’t comment on those! I’ll be honest, I’d pass on this place. It just isn’t worth spending your money and being so disappointed in the quality, taste, and service. They do not check the orders for accuracy, so expect to get home missing part or all of the order. Neither of us were going to drive back, and they don’t offer delivery on any app locally.I’d honestly give the place a solid pass. Save your money and save your disappointment. The place may be a good spot for those visiting the brewery. Aside from that, it isn’t worth it. That is my personal opinion and your experience may differ/vary.
