I had the jerk mushroom bowl. It was tasty but I did not taste any jerk seasoning at all.

We were late arriving so they were out of a few menu items... but the wraps we had were warm and delish. Being vegan and from the south shore, it can be difficult to find good vegan food. Oasis is worth the trip! We will definitely be back!

The African pot is an explosion of flavor and texture and delight. Easily one of the greatest things I've eaten this month! My girlfriend got the burrito, which was enormous and glorious. She also got a ginger juice, which was actually just apple juice with a few ginger shreds thrown in- delicious, but don't get your hopes up. I got the mango smoothie which was chalky, but satisfying. I had been meaning to try this place pre-pandemic, back when there was indoor seating. In the interim, there were two occasions when friends coming from the south brought Oasis takeout to feast upon north of the river- both times a luscious experience- but this was the first time I was there in person, and I was very sad to find that we couldn't eat there. Because it's not like there's even any super-close advantageous places to eat outside nearby. I'm not gonna push the Happy Cow buttons to officially report this, but FYI they do sell bottled herbal beverages which contain honey.

Felt like family from the first time we stepped in the door, not the mention the food and juices are delicious. Do yourself a favor and stop by this community staple if you’re in Boston ??

The didn’t what I wanted available, so have to come back to try that. But overall good; ordered the African couscous, spicy korma, the veggie delight and curry cabbage.

My friends and I came here to grab a bite and some tasty smoothies because I wanted to support a black owned business- the tasty food and friendly service was totally worth it!I'm a vegan while my other two friends are not but we made it work, lol! I ordered a bowl and my friend ordered a burrito & a smoothie while another grabbed a smoothie. We all enjoyed what we bought and felt that the ambiance of the spot was chill and inviting.

Updated review. I love this restaurant. It's my sincere hope Oasis VVP will receive this updated review as suggestions for improvement of a great local restaurant. Pre-Covid, I rated Oasis VVP as 5-stars and utterly, fabulously delicious. Since 2020 though my experience with the food has declined in a couple of areas--the recipes and the portion sizes have become very inconsistent. Sometimes the chickpea stew is delicious. Other times it tastes...off. Like maybe the dried bean cooking water was not discarded after cooking and instead the bitter compounds that leech into the cooking water were included in the stew. Or maybe the chickpeas are old. I can't put my finger on it but sometimes something tastes unpleasant. Sometimes the lentil stew is delicious. Other times it's very dry. Other times the lentil stew is watery and the lentils mushy. The miser wat used to be my hands-down favorite thing to eat. Delicious! Boldly spiced! Wonderful! Post-Covid the miser wat seems watered down, a thinner consistency and with less spice. Portion sizes are inconsistent too. If I order two large plates, one will have noticeably less stew than the other. Or one will have less grain than the other. If I order kale for one plate and curried cabbage for the other, there is always half as much kale as cabbage. Restaurant customers have an expectation that if they order the same dish as before, the flavor and portion will be the same as before. It's disappointing when that expectation isn't met. I hope Oasis VVP can put in place procedures that will help them produce more consistent dishes and more consistent portions regardless of who is cooking today or who is serving today.

Flourishing smoothies and fresh juices inside this warm and welcoming corner store style shop. Vegan options galore for food and a plethora of flavors for smoothies with the ability to customize them how you like.

Kind employees, community centered vibe, delicious health promoting food and drinks. I got a plate with quinoa, 2 stews and 2 veggies-all were flavorful and balanced. The golden milk tea might be the best drink I've ever had. I will make this my go-to spot on days when I'm not cooking.
