Glorifying the wrong things here. Mediocre food served by a poorly trained wait staff.
Management is entirely out of touch with reality. This place is a master class in how to tank a restaurant.

Went here the other night with 6 friends. We were excited to try the newly revamped space.
We were nervous about getting a table, but then the place was empty, with a couple of people at the bar and 1 other table.
What we got:
- Gnocco fritto
- Bruschetta
- Arancini
- Orecchiette
- Bolognese
- Sausage and lentils
- Chicken parm
- Skillet chicken
- Radicchio salad
We had high hopes, but besides the apps, everything was disappointing.
How can you call yourself an Italian restaurant but not cook pasta correctly? The pasta for the Orecchiette, Chicken Parm, and Bolognese were all VERY overcooked. The pasta for the Bolognese was basically mush. We actually sent that dish back and came back just as overcooked. They need to figure out how to cook pasta.
Service was also bad. Our apps and mains came out at different times. Water glasses went unfilled, and I had to go find salt and pepper on my own.
Also, there were two employees, maybe a manager and kitchen staff, who were sitting at a table next to us doing event planning while talking on the phone on speakerphone. It really ruined the vibe.
Slim chance we will go back. Very disappointing.

My boyfriend and I went on a Friday for dinner. We were immediately greeted by both the server and bartender who were very friendly and welcoming.
The food was fantastic. We ordered mussels and gnocco fritto. The gnocco fritto was amazing! They also happened to have pizza as a special and it was fantastic. My boyfriend is from NY so think he’s a pizza connoisseur, and he really liked it. The food was brought to us by their chef, who was awesome. He explained the gnocco fritto to us as I’d never heard of it before. We really enjoyed our brief conversation with him. He let us know they have game nights on Wednesday’s, so we’ll definitely be back.

Came here twice. Once for brunch, and it was absolutely delicious. Tonight I went for dinner and both dishes were very bad. We got pasta and it was not fresh and very very bland (we dumped a liter of salt on top so it was bearable). Server never asked how our food was. Tried to order the chicken but it was not available. For a limited menu it was upsetting something would be unavailable.

I really wish people would stop leaving poor reviews based solely on the owners. You’re only hurting the hard working staff.

People really shouldn't be giving this restaurant bad reviews, because you dislike the owners! It only hurts the staff seriously!

This is so sad. People watching a TV SHOW and come here to rate the place 1 star and you ain’t even in the same state! Yes the owners are smug so are many of the other owners in other episodes. You have no business rating this place without being a customer. Go sit down with that.
Owners have terrible character even while theyre being filmed. Imagine how they are off camera...

Owners are an embarrassment. Hard to watch how brutal those guys are. The talented staff deserve so much better. Hope those guys sell the place ASAP

This is always my first stop in Dorchester. This restaurant is a hidden gem, the Risotto was cooked perfectly along with the grilled shrimp. There is Trivia on Tuesday nights and dollar oysters from 4-6pm. Friendly and family owned. Used to work here in 2017, miss the atmosphere.
