Loved it! It was quiet for lunch but we were welcomed with so much love and hospitality. ??????We had the special of the day which was shrimp scampi and the hennesy wings. Both were delicious! Looking forward to going back for drinks.

Food that showed up, which wasn't much of it, was actually pretty good. My entree never arrived after over an hour, so we just paid for my GFs meal and left. We didn't want to take turns watching each other eat. Incredibly slow service, so unless you have 2 hours to spare to wait for your food, I'd recommend elsewhere.

I wasn’t going to write a review but I would rather share my experience in hopes that it gets better. I was absolutely warned about the service before hand from others who have been. So it was no surprise what so ever. The issue I had was the servers carelessness of the issue that was at hand. The person I was with got his food & drinks in a timely matter. I sat for about 30 mins waiting for the second part of my meal. I had to ask another server because I barely seen our server for my food. I’m just gonna assume she never put it in which is cool. She still barely checked in. When I brought it to her, she had an attitude like I was wrong which is an issue. She wasn’t apologetic. She offered me the manager then came back and said “he was too busy to come speak”….I still left her a great tip even after all the Bs and I’m pretty positive she was not thankful. Absolutely disappointing. I was super excited to come here now I’m pretty positive I will never step foot here again.

The Grits and Shrimp was amazing! However, 3 out of 6 of the oysters were spoiled and smelled very bad. They need to really be careful with that.

I made a reservation for 2/14/24 for 1 person. I was called on 2/5/24 while @ work to cancel my reservation on Valentines Day. The reason being it's a fixed menu for $95/person she stated"not sure if you would want that" Thank you Pearl for the insult.

The ambiance, food and folks who worked there was excellent. I'm definitely going back. I had bang bang ? shrimp ? they were out of this ?. The truffle fries ? a yes indeed. I had the oysters half shell but they were dinky like the six I was given could have only made 1 possible 2 and prior to getting them I asked what type because there is six kind and these had to be teeny weeny kind. I thought it was a insult, but for the special they had this would be what I recommend folks to ever order. I mentioned to young lady J that I from Maryland and when I would go home to the harbor my father and I would order a dozen or half a dozen. Pass on ordering the oysters they are more of a taste not really appetizer. The bang bang is worth the trip for certain ?. I will try either salad ? or rice ? next time I go.

Advertised as a seafood restaurant but is more of a bar based on atmosphere, service, and food. None of the entrees offered come with a side. The salmon was overpriced for taste, quality, and without the addition of a vegetable and/or starch. My husband ordered a burger and after waiting over 45 minutes for it, we decided to leave before it was served. At a proper restaurant you would expect all of the food to be served at the same time or within 5 minutes of each other. On a positive note, the server was friendly and the music was enjoyable.

I absolutely adore this restaurant! The atmosphere is always welcoming and the owner has always been present during my visits. I've watched him approach tables or the bar and welcome the guest. It really creates an inviting space. Also, the music selection is top tier!I've tried many items from the menu and they've all been delicious. This particular visit I ordered the crispy calamari which was seasoned and fried to perfection. The salmon bites had the perfect amount of heat without being overwhelmingly spicy. I ended up taking it home because it was so much food. Lastly I had their speciality cocktail The Pearl Potion which is so good (and very strong) be careful because it can sneak up on you. This is my favorite black owned restaurant in Boston. I will always return to this restaurant again and again.

Really delicious burger, tasty drinks, super sweet and bartender. For overall dining experience I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the wait after ordering food is consistently VERY long. Lowering the rating to 1 star though because they tacked a miscellaneous extra $13 onto my bill. And now I have the inconvenience of having to come back tomorrow to get the bill fixed/ my money returned, which I probably won’t do because it’s not worth the hassle. This isn’t the first time this has happened— my mom and aunt were also charged extra on another visit and had to return to get the bill fixed :(

A very lively and pleasantly quaint place. I arrived after the kitchen closed, but I will be sure to stop by again during kitchen hours. Drinks were really good, especially the famous Pearl drink. We need more places like this in Boston. I'm glad they decided to open in my neck of the woods. Stay tuned for my updated visit.
