Great atmosphere, food and service. My wife and I went the other day for the first time and everything was great.
Came back with the family today and got the same great service and all of our meals were as good.
We will be back for sure!
I personally had the Whole Belly Clams my first visit, which were perfectly prepared and delicious. My second visit I got the Swordfish Steak and I enjoyed it very much!
Thank you, Ye Olde Standish Grille!

Have lived in EB since 1982. I have been to The Standish lots of times..but not very often lately..and there is absolutely no reason NOT to go there for most of the restaurant food we get. It looks the same as it did 30 years ago..and thats just fine with me. They have a VERY loyal following and it's because it's just a pleasant reasonably priced family restaurant with excellent food. We got takeout today...fried haddock dinner with fries and coleslaw, meatloaf with green beans and mashed potatoes. We also splurged for onion rings that were out of this world...the serving is one cardboard pizza plate loaded so that another pizza plate just covered them. Rings don't get any better than that. The fish was fresh and cooked perfectly. There is enough for a second meal. The meatloaf was really good. Nice gravy and a big serving that will be 2 meals also. Mashed and beans were spot on too..and piping hot. The whole thing was $40...so we got 4 meals for $10 each...a great price for good food. If I had a complaint it would be the rolls that I didn't even expect. Rolls were mushy soft homigenized one step up from a burger bun. A decent hard crusted roll would have been so much better. My grandson loves Marcellos in Whitman but the food has gotten horrible in my opinion. This will be our new takeout spot unless we go for Mexican or something unusual. I am really happy that I reconnected with a local long term establishment today. We will be returning often.
