I love donut dip but would definitely recommend you pick their regular donuts over the cake donuts. The cake donuts are okay but they shine on their other donuts. The honey dip are light and fluffy and disappear in your mouth. The chocolate covered are made with real coco, not “chocolate flavored” frosting. Delicious, plus you can get a HUGE donut the size of a birthday cake... I would suggest for your birthday... like I am going to do for mine!

Love Donut Dip! We are from New York but will always stop by when in the area. This is probably my favorite traditional donut shop anywhere. The sour cream donuts are off the chart delicious, but my son and I are big fans of the black raspberry jellies as well!

Stopped in because we saw this place get a great write up in yelp. We love old school Mom & Pop donut shops and this place fit the bill down to the awesome throwback sign. Friendly, with a long counter full of locals. Behind the counter was a l o n g array of old fashioned and yeast donuts. We opted for apple fritter, chocolate cream, strawberry cream, chocolate frosted, honey dipped, jelly and chocolate cake. Delicious and fresh. We didn't like the chocolate cream because the filling was very stiff & frosting-like vs whipped cream ish. My faves were the strawberry cream (jelly and cream filled), choc frosted and the awesome apple fritters. Did I mention it was $9.00 for a dozen with an apple fritter? Cheap! Highly recommend and if you are from Connecticut the west Springfield location is en route to/from Northampton, MA *nudge-nudge* *wink-wink*

No ned fir a lengthy review. Overrated and pretty ordinary. Given that they are overpriced. Clearly successful due to steady stream of customers who clearly have never had a great doughnut. Recmmendation? There's a bunch in Boston that kick the snot out of these: Union Square - Sommerville Blackbird - Boston (Tremont) Doughboy - Boston (Dorchester av) Twin - Alston Server at counter was very nice, energetic and welcoming. Top marks to her.

Better than the chains. Homemade donuts are the best compared to chains.

Old time place, with homade style donout's and pastries, they have some of the best donuts and breakfast sandwiches arround. I like the coffee better at dunking donout's but other then that everything else is a lot better here ( and the coffee is not bad here either, just I prefer donkin donout's coffee) but all and all this place has the best in the area hands down.
