I have never written a review about a restaurant before, but felt compelled to do so after the incredible experience my guests and I received at the “Beacons Restaurant” Walpole Ma . This was my sons wedding rehearsal dinner. I chose Beacons because of its stellar reputation. First off, the decor was warm, rustic and cozy just as I anticipated . Food is pretty typical Massachusetts suburban restaurant. It’s fine. Never quite feels worth it. Chicken risotto was eh. Pear salad was ok. Service was excellent. Great beer selection which is nice. It’s exactly what I would have expected, except the reviews on here make it sound like it stands out. It does not.
Our server was excellent and attentive. We sat outside and it was beautiful weather. Prompt and delicious food. The pear salad with dried cherries and goat cheese was outstanding. I am Celiac, so to be able to get a side of French fries as they have their own fryer is great! I trust them with my Celiac choices and with my son's tree nut allergy.
