Would love to give this place a good review because the food is decent. but there is a bartender there who is just rude. To customers and staff. I over heard her calling staff derogatory names. I don’t understand how they can employ someone so rude. Yall women with dark hair probably in her 40s/50s.

It was Thanksgiving and since my wife and I had no invitation to celebrate this traditional day, we went out to eat on our own. The restaurant name La Familia sounded so very Italian that we decided to make a reservation and go there. Our plan was to order a tempting meal of Chicken Parmesan and not the usual Turkey dinner. We were promptly seated and soon our dining experience began with some stale hard bread, a dish of salad for my wife and for me a cup of chicken noodle soup. The soup contained so much pepper, that it was difficult for me to control my cough. Next our waitress presented the main dish which at first glance looked quite appetizing.
Unfortunately, our taste buds soon discovered that the expectation we had for authentic Italian food ended in disappointment. The marinara sauce sorely lacked the most basic and essential Italian increadients of garlic, basil and oregano. In addition, the chicken fillet was crusty and difficult to cut without the use of a steak knife. My wife and I will likely not return to this establishment.

The food was excellent. I usually order the butternut squash ravioli with chicken, which is consistently outstanding. My husband and friends loved their dishes as well, from chicken parmigiana and steak (special) to chicken Marsala. My husband had a slice of limoncello cake for his birthday and thought it was delicious. The only downside was my decaf coffee, which was lukewarm even after being sent back…disappointing, but minor compared to the otherwise great meal. Our server was friendly and, apart from the coffee issue, efficient. The one real negative was when the manager (I assume) brought our plates and told my friend’s son, rather sharply, to “move your phone.” We were all taken aback, and I regret not speaking up at the time. Overall, excellent food and good service, but management could use a reminder about tone and hospitality.
I ordered from the catering menu for a family birthday party at my home. I chose the roasted chicken and mashed potatoes. I made roasted carrots and garlic bread to accompany the meal. The menu indicated these 2 items would serve 12 - 14. The food was well packed in trays with a sealed top and then within a heavy carton. It was hot when picked up and only needed to be briefly warmed for 1/2 hour. The chicken was moist and excellently seasoned. The potatoes were creamy and tasteful. We had 14 adults and 1 child and there was quite a bit of chicken left over and a good amount of potatoes. Guests were highly complimentary of the food. I would recommend La Familia for any catering need! They exceeded my expectations!

Delicious food and great portion sizes. The fresh bread they serve before your meal is phenomenal. Very good chowder. The fettuccine Alfredo is excellent
Best Italian food in town

My lady friend's Portuguese steak was as tender as the sole of a shoe.I'm still waiting for the garlic taste from my jumbo shrimp scampi with three moderate sized shrimp. It was quite disappointing. I lost the rest of my appetite reading the reviews. My second and last time back. When you leave a great restaurant your mouth should be sparkling with the incredible flavors; DIDN'T HAPPEN....
Our waitress did the absolute best she could as there was no bartender and she was both serving and bartender. However, it took an hour to get our drinks and everything was incredibly slow. We felt bad for her as it wasn't her fault.
My wife and I had dinner there last night and the Veal Saltimbocca was outstanding as usual. And Flyaway Draft IPA is always a great accompaniment.
