Second time at 19 Raw and it did not disappoint again. Great spot with excellent food, good energy, and a laid-back coastal vibe. The oysters were incredibly fresh and the tuna tartare was a real standout. We'll definitely be back before the season's over.
Recommend going right after they open. We didn’t have to wait and the service was great. We were very pleased with our meal choices and the oysters of course.
That was a great experience, great service, delicious meal. A riding gem in the heart of Edgartown - MA. Visiting the town for the 4th July parade and for the fireworks.
I arrived at 8:00p and the place was really packed. It was a mad house! Not an enjoyable dining atmosphere for the price. Party of 1 so I ate at the bar. Ordered octopus and skirt steak (medium). Octopus was extremely overcooked (felt like leather) and my skirt steak was cooked from a range of burnt to rare 😳 (see photo). Initial thought was to return when I cut into the burnt end but the bartender informed me that its usually well-done on the ends and medium in the middle. A cut mid-middle was medium so I digressed, however the opposite end of my steak was rare 😳! Each cut of my steak became the running joke for the couple next to me. Complete contrast in food and service from years past. Also no longer accepts Amex (which they do not make you aware of until after you have dined 🤦🏾♀️).
Instead of 19 Raw, it should be 19 Rude! Came in with a group of 15 at 3:20 pm. Was told that we couldn't get food until 4:00 pm due to a worker break. Bartender was unfriendly and rude, but we ordered several drinks. Our group was spread out at the bar and outside, waiting to be seated for food. Then, hostess came to us and told us that the standard procedure was that we were to be seated before we could eat, but again, very rudely! At that point, we left without ordering food. In 2023, we loved this place...in 2025, we decided we will not be going back. Save your time and go to the Atlantic! Very close, very friendly, great atmosphere, and great food and drink! 😉
Attended a private celebration there and we had the back room. Food was delicious and displayed beautifully. We had more than enough food for our 15 person group. Staff was very attentive and accommodating. Still thinking about the lobster caviar sliders. Will definitely come for dinner when I’m on the vineyard.
This is the best resteraunt I’ve ever eaten at. Steaks are outrageous and so is all the seafood and sides. Honestly incredible.
When I am in town I try to eat here every. Single. Day. This is by far my favorite place to eat on the island. I don’t even know why I’m leaving a review because this place speaks for itself. I miss this place when I’m not in town. Awesome bar tenders. Awesome oysters. Other places will charge you just as much for a mediocre version of what they serve here. Go here first then judge other places based off your experience here. Enjoy

The food was delicious and generous. Our server was hot and cold, but she could have been really busy? The bartender (who was serving others) seemed really friendly and wonderful! The host was aloof and did not appear to enjoy her job, but could have been having a bad day. Maybe not the perfect match for her job position (perhaps not front of house)? Seating in the bar area was tight and a bit uncomfortable regarding temperature (cold) and space planning.

We have very mixed reviews about our experience. Most importantly I think, all six of our food dishes were excellent: foie gras, scallop bowl, clam chowder, steak tartare (huge portion), lobster slider with caviar, and oysters. The cocktails and wine were ok. The large ice was not clear. The service was hot and cold. The table was a bit cold in spite of heaters. Maybe we expected too much on a Tuesday night in October in a room open to the outdoors.

Front of house is extremely rude. We were sitting adults at one table and kids at another. We turned around and our kids were gone because they made them get up from their table (without telling their parents) before the check came so they could give the table to another party because “they had been waiting”. Total attitude. The food was mediocre and the wine list is all grocery store wines. Will not go back.

Great night. Local oysters best I had on E Coast this summah. Clam chowder while not traditional New England cream has more clams than I have ever had and I know my chowder. Baked oysters were great but 2 more would be better. Scallops reported great. Been several times and this topped it.

The best restaurant on the Vineyard in my books. I had the oyster platter. Then mussels curry dish for appetizer, I am still salivating over it. For Entree I had my favorite fish- the whole Red-snapper, yum. My 16 year daughter actually recommended the place to me in August. They went out alone for nice dinner with her friends and especially love the Lobster Bolognese. They looked up places nearby and they chose you. Then a lady I met in Boston while talking about MV, she also mentioned the place as the best seafood place. So when I came back alone in September, it was on top of my list. Thank you for an amazing culinary experience.

Wow, fantastic! The shrimp fried rice was probably the best fried rice I’ve ever had. Loved the swordfish as well.
Service was wonderful. They also had a great selection of music.
