Crystal was amazing. Our table was not ready and she personally assured it was cleaned ( did it herself ) and the sat us. Made us feel very comfortable for a great Sunday afternoon party with DJ Rockwell. Great time and great food. Thanks
Manager is so rude. We had a question and our server sent him over. He acted annoyed and hostile. So dissapointing.-
I decided to have a 4th of July dinner out with mom at one of our favorite fancy spots, The Atlantic Fish & Chop House in Edgartown. They had a lamb dish 2 seasons ago that I still dream about. We had some charbroiled oysters, a lobsters arugula salad, and some osso bucco. Everything was delicious 😋 except the pasta was a bit overdone (it was crunchy). I had a perfectly made Hugo Spritz to wash it down.
The Branzino was probably some of the best we have EVER had and we have had a lot of Branzino across the world. The grilled oysters and lobster salad amazing super fresh and tasty! Ask for Milan you won’t be disappointed!
The place is $$$$... But the food and drinks we got were DELICIOUS and our server was fantastic. Almost got stuck seated inside under a speaker but when we asked to be moved we got a perfect table outside next to the pier on the water. We can't afford to eat here often but would highly recommend 👌🏻
Service was awful. Made our last night on the Vineyard a bad one. Group of 4 asked for a table outside, we got seated in the only spot right in the sun with no umbrella. There were multiple open tables next to us that weren't in the sun. We asked our waiter if we could simply move to the table next to us and you could tell he was already annoyed, he pointed to another table we could sit at, apparently we mistook what he said and didn't sit at the right table because he came back and told us we had to move again. Didn't help pick up our silverware or menus or anything to this new table and than made a snarky comment about why we needed to move if the sun would go down in a bit anyway. I told him that was very unprofessional and he proceeded to stand at our table and argue with us on why he thought he wasn't being unprofessional. We should of gotten up and left at that point as for a restaurant this expensive and to be treated so poorly all over asking to simply move to an empty table was ridiculous, lack of customer service training. Not to mention we overheard management complaining about us messing up seating charts all because we asked to move one table over. To make matters worse, my husband asked for pepper and the same waiter grinded pepper all over my husband's lap, not even getting the food. We felt that was intentional. We still left a tip because thats the courteous thing to do but we shouldn't have. Honestly worst experience we've ever had and would never come back.
We stopped in after a bike ride into town and ended up staying longer than planned. Worth it.
Got the crab cake, truffle fries, yellowtail, and Caesar salad. Everything was solid across the board. Crab cake was packed with meat, truffle fries hit the spot, and the yellowtail was fresh and well-prepared. Caesar was legit too.
We got a perfect two top table right on the water to enjoy oysters and tuna tartare. Glad we caught them before closing season.

This was mine and my hubby’s first time in Edgartown and we are so glad we went by the Atlantic! We loved sitting outside by the water and having a sip of wine. The service was great and so was the food! We’d highly recommend others eat at the Atlantic while in town!

Four of us (two couples) stopped in for after-dinner drinks at the bar. While the bartenders were clearly skilled, they were aloof to the point of rudeness, which detracted from the otherwise lovely setting. Three of them stood right in front of us and did everything they could not to make eye contact or engage. A little friendliness goes a long way, especially at those prices!

Everything about this place is top notch! The setting, the views, the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere. It’s not cheap but the quality is excellent. Simply put, you get what you pay for.
The service this past Saturday night was less than top notch. Our waiter was struggling with taking orders, clearing plates, getting checks, etc. The departure of summer college kids probably hit them, but for a place like this they should have planned more effectively.
We look forward to coming back soon!

Always a good spot to eat and enjoy the view of the water and boats. It’s a little pricey but you’re paying for the location and view as well as good food.

I only went for drinks at the bar but had a wonderful experience with Gerald the bartender. He is one of the best I've seen on the island.
