This was mine and my hubby’s first time in Edgartown and we are so glad we went by the Atlantic! We loved sitting outside by the water and having a sip of wine. The service was great and so was the food! We’d highly recommend others eat at the Atlantic while in town!

Four of us (two couples) stopped in for after-dinner drinks at the bar. While the bartenders were clearly skilled, they were aloof to the point of rudeness, which detracted from the otherwise lovely setting. Three of them stood right in front of us and did everything they could not to make eye contact or engage. A little friendliness goes a long way, especially at those prices!

Everything about this place is top notch! The setting, the views, the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere. It’s not cheap but the quality is excellent. Simply put, you get what you pay for.
The service this past Saturday night was less than top notch. Our waiter was struggling with taking orders, clearing plates, getting checks, etc. The departure of summer college kids probably hit them, but for a place like this they should have planned more effectively.
We look forward to coming back soon!

Very expensive and meals are quite small like normal fine dine restaurants. My meal, the Anrgy Shrimp, was absolutely delicious, the type of sauce that was under my mash potatoes, I could eat it by itself. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and I did enjoy the outdoor heaters outside. I would come back again.

Best part is the outdoor space, location, and water view, worst is how management runs this beautiful location and the subpar food. Ask to speak to a manger and the manager was the unkindest of them all. Really cannot justify the rude demeanor...horrible treatment of customers is appalling to watch. Service industries depend on reputation, and for a very pricy spot the owner needs to reconsider the front of the house here. There are just too many other great spots on island to spend your money at ($$$$) without the attitude. The food isn't even remarkable.

If you’re visiting the island and looking for somewhere with good service, this is not the place.
We arrived later in the evening, and were seated by the host.
First, the tablecloth was dirty, so we had to request a new one for the table.
Second, our host never mentioned the kitchen was closed. When we asked for a waiter, the waiter never came. It wasn’t until after we ordered drinks (at the bar) that they mentioned the kitchen was closed. About 15 minutes after we were seated.
The whole time the manager is standing next to us as a random person and never thought to tell us what was going on.
At the end of the night, the manager came to our table and verbatim said “bottoms up” as our signal to leave.
I saw that this place had 3.9 and still gave it a chance. However, I will not be visiting this place again. They definitely need better communication with their guest. Especially those visiting for the first time.
