Pretension without the level of service to back it up. Five appetizer plates were placed, yet there were six people at the table. Water glasses were filled once and refills had to be pursued. Obnoxious upselling of menu and wine to get the most $ out of you. 40 minute wait between courses. 3 lb lobster special for over $200 that was overcooked, overengineered, and was simply, bad. Towels had run out in the rest room. All small things that add up to a truly disappointing experience. Bottom line; they weren't paying attention to the basics, and they didn't seem to care to do better. Time and money are precious. We wasted ours here.

What a beautiful restaurant! The interior was absolutely stunning, our waiter, Dragan, was EXCELLENT and the cocktails and the food were unbelievable. The Bonni Caesar salad was delicious, crab cakes were perfect and the short ribs were divine! This is a MV GEM!

Such an amazing place to have dinner. The food is top notch with a variety of choices to satisfy a diversity of tastes. We had the stuffed lobster and it is amazing. Don't overlook the chicken, though. We ate it on a previous visit and absolutely loved it. The extensive wine list is a perfect complement to the menu

The servers are truly skilled at their job and offer just the right amount of attention to make the evening truly enjoyable while not being intrusive.

Thanks Atria for a wonderful experience. We will be back

We had such a wonderful waitress who made the experience memorable but the fish and wine pour, not so much. We ordered the halibut and found it to be over cooked and flavorless. The wine pour was super stingy but besides those negatives the tomato burrata carpaccio salad was delish !

The atmosphere inside is wonderful. Outside would have been just as wonderful but kids permitted to run around and it's not ideal for a date night. The big stuffes lobster was so great...

We have been coming here loyally for years. Used to be great but those days are gone. Tonight we had a two hour wait between apps and main courses with all kinds of apologies offered. When the main courses arrived 4 out of 10 were basically raw. Petty attempt at compensation but walked out totally unsatisfied and will never go back and we have a house in town. Sorry to say it but I cannot recommend

We took my parents here for their 50th anniversary. I had a reservation and told them beforehand. When we got to the table there was an anniversary card on the table which was very sweet. Excellent service from the moment we walked in. Lots of servers helping each other. I wish we had a table outside because the outdoor seating was also gorgeous. The food was absolutely delicious

I had high expectations for Atria, given its reputation and charming setting in a 19th-century sea captain's house in Edgartown. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had anticipated.
My evening at Atria started on a sour note with a mix-up in our reservation. Despite booking a table weeks in advance, we were told upon arrival that there was no record of our reservation. After a lengthy wait and some heated discussions with the hostess, we were finally seated in the bustling brick cellar, which, contrary to its cozy description, felt cramped and noisy.
The service throughout the night was inconsistent at best. Our waiter seemed more interested in chatting with the bartender than attending to our table. It took an eternity for our drinks to arrive, and when they did, the "Summer's Bounty G&T" I ordered was overly sweet and lacked the fresh, vibrant flavors promised on the menu.
When it came to the food, the disappointment only grew. For starters, we had the Plancha Seared Georges Bank Scallops. The scallops were overcooked and rubbery, a stark contrast to the delicate, melt-in-your-mouth texture I was expecting. The accompanying carrot-ginger purée was bland and lacked the punch that a curried vinaigrette should deliver.
The main course was an even greater letdown. My Grilled Thick Cut Swordfish was dry and lacked seasoning. The dill whipped potatoes were lumpy, and the crispy capers were anything but crispy. It felt like the dish had been sitting under a heat lamp for too long before being served.
To make matters worse, the ambiance was marred by the loud and abrasive music from the DJ booth in the cellar. It was difficult to carry on a conversation, and the overall vibe felt more like a chaotic bar than a sophisticated dining establishment.
Despite the promise of a diverse and exciting menu, the execution fell flat on nearly every front. The food was subpar, the service was lackluster, and the atmosphere was far from the relaxed elegance that Atria boasts about.
Given the steep prices, I expected a top-notch dining experience but left feeling thoroughly disappointed and out of pocket. Atria might have been a celebrated destination once, but based on my experience, it seems to have lost its touch. I hope the owners can take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements.
Until then, I would recommend looking elsewhere for a dining experience on Martha's Vineyard.

This place was delicious! We went downstairs to the cellar and you get the best of both worlds with the menus. We got along well with the folks that work there. Service was great and the brick was a nice touch. Loved the space.
