Quite the establishment. Jose is a great guy ask for him as a server if available. The food was the best ive had on the island so far.

We arrived at the restaurant and were shown to a table that was upstairs and surround by children, we politely asked if we might be seated somewhere else. We were told that it would be a 45 minute wait. We suggested that we were uninterested in waiting 45 minutes and if there wasn’t the opportunity for a more suitable location then we would prefer not to dine there. We do not believe in this circumstance where we were indeed present for our reservation that we should be charged a cancellation fee. The hostess was very unhappy and seemed eager for us to leave…won’t be back!

My husband and I had a lovely anniversary dinner here with our 3 year old while vacationing in Edgartown. Food was delicious and service was great. I wish they had more than 1 high chair available, and a few options for children on the menu, but overall still a really great experience.

This place is a gem! Food very fresh and flavorful. It’s family owned and run and the service and presentation was equal to the quality of food. Food on the Vineyard in general is expensive but when you feel you get what you “paid” for it feels great. Highly recommend!

Love this place. Al fresco is delightful (except when too hot!), upstairs is quiet, first-rate cuisine, attentive servers. One of the Vineyard’s very best. Try their taleggio-peach salad.

First of all, the food quality was very good. However, the restaurant has a major process problem and neglects the patron. My wife and I were seated promptly at the time of our reservation, but we waited 1 hour between the starter and the main course, which makes it impossible to enjoy the meal. The server realized we were dissatisfied, and the hostess/manager turned her back on us as we left pretending not to see us. This restaurant has great potential, but has major issues. Beware!

Food was extraordinary. Sophisticated play on different textures and flavors that worked extremely well.

Food was delish! We had the burrata panzanella salad, lobster ravioli, halibut, and bolognese. Everything was very fresh and delicious.
We sat outside, which had heaters in case you got cold. The restaurant just needs to play some music outside as you could hear everyone’s conversation and it was a bit quiet and awkward outside.

We chose the right restaurant. My husband and I ate dinner here with another couple near end of September. I had the Halibut and it was so delicious. My husband had the pork chop which was great! Great atmosphere and good location!

We visited on a Saturday evening that was very busy so our experience may not have been completely representative, but this was decidedly average. We arrived 10 minutes early and despite the presence of at least 5 waiting staff that just smiled at us we were ignored for 5 minutes until the front of house appeared. She told us in a very unenthusiastic manner that as we were early our table was not ready we could either wait on a bench or at one chair at the bar. Don’t get me wrong, it was not rude or unprofessional, just as welcoming as a cold shower. When we were seated the room was nice (can’t say more than that) and the waiter very polite. Unfortunately the food was pretty average. I had the lobster to start with heirloom tomatoes and artichokes. The lobster was fine if smothered by the remoulade. The artichokes clearly came from a can. My wife had a peach salad which by all accounts was delicious. My main was the pork chop which was exceptionally well cooked but over seasoned, and surrounded by a complete hodgepodge of random flavors, peach, figs, kohlrabi, fennel, risotto. It really didn’t work at all. My wife’s tuna was similar. Well cooked but a somewhat random faro accompaniment. So overall a pretty average experience and I wouldn’t rush back. But equally I understand it was probably one of the worst times to visit and we may have chosen poorly.

We were disappointed in our meal at this fine restaurant, not because it wasn’t good, because it was. But because it wasn’t the wonderful meal that met our expectations from the reviews. We each had the beef tenderloin which our waiter said was the best dish on the menu, but it really didn’t measure up to similar steaks we have eaten elsewhere. The garden-like setting was romantic and the service was good. But we were looking for a special dinner and it just wasn’t that.
