I’ve eaten at Detente consistently over many years, it’s probably my favorite restaurant on Martha’s Vineyard. It’s a little hidden away, so many folks aren’t aware it’s still a convenient option in town. It’s a wonderful combination of great food, a professional staff and good wine list. For Martha’s Vineyard the prices aren’t bad, particularly given the quality. They have both indoor and outdoor seating but it is a seasonal restaurant. A very solid option...
Detente is BY FAR one of THE BEST RESTAURANTS on Martha's Vineyard and one of the best I've been to the world over. It is such a culinary delight: the innovative flavor combinations, the textures... OMG! Amazing every time! Great for foodies. Try the tasting menu with wine pairing! I'm sure you will love it too. And like me, I'll bet you will find yourself returning again and again. This family-owned and operated dining establishment is a local blessing. Truly!
