Love coming here. The chef/owner is amazing and so sweet. We love coming here in the summer but the new winter menus is so good. Mussels, bolognese and salmon are must try’s!

This is an island Treasure!!! You can be casual and enjoy everything from the menu, the bar and the truly delightful staff. It’s under new ownership, and it’s spotless & has been nicely spiffed up while retaining this “treasured spot” with same spirit islanders love. The mussels were FABULOUS… all portions were plentiful and VERY reasonably priced!! Can have a wonderful cozy dinner and still have enough left to have dessert!!! ENJOY!!!

The Square Rigger changed owners about two years ago. It used to be my favorite lobster restaurant on the Vineyard. I'm sorry to say it's not as good as it used to be. Lobster is not even on the menu now! Luckily, they had a lobster special (baked stuffed) which was excellent but not as good as the grilled version which had previously been a regular on its former menu along with other lobster choices. There was no bread or other pre-meal munchies although one could order bread at an extra charge. The appetizers were expensive and sounded large so we didn't order any. They don't answer the phone. Reservations are only online so, in the future, I can't ask if they would have a lobster special. Oh well. Although my meal was good, I expect I'll now look elsewhere.
