10/10 recommend grabbing dinner here if you can. I’m not one to order bolognese but it was delicious as well as the seafood fettuccine. I’ll be returning every year.
Stopped by one night. They were able to seat us in a few minutes. Extremely quaint fun atmosphere. We sat at the bar. Met some friends. Bartender was excellent. Food was unique, healthy and tasty. spicy cucumber appetizer was one of the best I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We were seated outside promptly, the food was delicious and the wait staff was great.
The rub? The menu inaccurately represents the food. Be forewarned, do NOT assume that because something is marked as gluten free, vegetarian, or vegan that it will be served that way. If you have any dietary restrictions, be sure to ask lots of questions- we won’t be back!
I’ve had a few good meals here. Last night they served us tap water that tasted like rotten fish and bleach combined. Two of us swallowed it before realizing. I would have been happy to look past that if they had comped even one drink on the $400 bill, but they did not. Nor did the manager even apologize. The waiter tried his best.
I will start by saying the food is good, it
was my second time eating here. I am a former restaurant owner and have family restaurant for 25 years plus. Last night we sat down and was served a bottle of “tap water” or so we thought. I took a big gulp and was so assaulted by the taste, it was one of the more terrifying things I have ever tasted… a cross between rotting fish and maybe cleaning detergent. I thought I
had lost my mind and had my partner taste it. He had to run to the bathroom. We told the waiter and asked him to please taste it
He removed it and he and the manager both tasted it behind the bar, I watched. The manager was so repulsed he spit it out and then back washed with what looked like his own personal water bottle. He never came over to the table to apologize or explain or see what he could do for us. The waiter came over and said he could not even describe what he tasted and how powerful and disgusting it was. He offered us nothing to clean our mouths, I had to ask him for something medicinal to swish around in our mouths. If we weren’t meeting my boyfriend’s family we would have left. The food was good. We ate and drank and really hoped we weren’t going to get sick from “The water” However what left an absolutely unforgettable taste in our mouths besides the poison water was when we received the bill, not one dish nor drink was complimentary. We paid a 400 dollars plus bill with no apologizes or explanations. When the manager of a restaurant has to spit out of his mouth something he felt comfortable serving to his diners at his restaurant, there is something really wrong. At least have some guts and good will.
Best Bolognese on the Vineyard, brings us back every year. Be sure to try the bread.
This place was so delicious. Drink service was incredible and included a wonderful rum selection.
Food was creative and delicious. No food allergy issues for me here! Accommodating.
We had the yummiest dinner with Summer as our server. Her suggestions were fabulous. Don’t miss out dining here!
Really nice people who run both the Covington and sister restaurant - Port Hunter. Highly recommend!

Everything was so unique and amazing! Great experience, each course was a ten. Great mocktails and service
The absolute highlight of our 20th wedding anniversary trip to the Vineyard! A great vibe in the heart of Edgartown and our server, Summer, was amazing. Everything she recommended, from food to wine, was incredible. Thank you!

I would give The Covington more than 5 stars if I could! The decor is simple and elegant, but the food is out of this world. We shared the fish special (meant for 2-3 people) and it was perfect for two of us with big appetites. We also enjoyed the sweet and spicy cucumbers, marinated olives, halibut tartare, and the honey pie. I'm a dessert connoisseur, and this honey pie did not disappoint me!

Delicious food with fresh ingredients. We ordered the spicy cucumber salad, which beat expectations, the olive spread, and halibut. The halibut had a beautiful salty crust and was cooked perfectly. For dessert, we ordered the honey pie, which was light and not overally sweet, and was paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It's definitely worth checking out.

Beautiful restaurant with amazing food and great staff. The vegan options are superb and absolutely delicious. Everything is presented beautifully and is super tasty. Special shout out to the sweet & spicy cucumbers which were incredible, and the home made bread is divine! This was a great choice for dining whilst in Marthas Vineyard!
