The Terrace | Charlotte Inn

The Charlotte Inn is a true gem in edgartown and truly special place. The Terrace Inn is no exception with amazing food and service in a location and dining room to match. We ate in the garden which is magical and so peaceful and elegant. I have eaten in many three star Michelin restaurants but find the caring staff and warm heart of the island unmatched!

The service was outstanding. Was a pleasure to dine where servers actually know what to do, how to serve and add to the dining experience! Scallops were outstanding as was the dover sole.

Everything about the Charlotte Inn and The Terrace restaurant is incredible. The hotel exterior is immaculately and beautifully landscaped in a quiet neighborhood. Walking into the Inn, you're overwhelmed with eye-popping 19th century artwork, furniture, and -- perhaps most strikingly -- the antique silver service. A slow stroll to The Terrace restaurant is essential to take it all in. The restaurant itself continues the 19th century ambience with lush greenery in a very quiet setting. The food did not play second to the setting and every course was incredibly good, with a perfectly prepared Dover sole. The service was outstanding. As close to a perfect evening as you can get and a definite return visit when we're back on Martha's Vineyard...hopefully soon.

Beautiful restaurant. Not busy, but ran out of cod on Easter menu which was replaced w/shellfish. Cod is a very inexpensive fish to be in such an expensive restaurant's menu and be forewarned if allergies, even after speaking w/chef ahead about gluten. We were made to feel VERY uncomfortable by host at front desk, who chased after us while we were admiring their beautiful outdoor surroundings. I don't know what he was worried about as I'm sure many admire their grounds and we had just spent $400+ on our dinner. Sad, really. But, we enjoyed our own company and The Harborview Hotel restaurant and view much, much more!

I’ve had Steak au Poivre in some of the world’s finest restaurants and hands down the one at The Terrace created by Chef Zach Prifti is the absolute best! This chef has an incredible flair for flavor combinations.

I have had Steak au Poivre in some of the finest restaurants in various countries. The dish I had at The Terrace created by Chef Zach Prifti was phenomenal and the very best above the rest. This chef is a wizard of blended flavors. Every course was delectable! And I so loved the very sweet touch of receiving a Valentine's Day rose and the inn owners homemade fudge to finish out our memorable and beautiful evening. We will return again and again.

Our go-to restaurant for special occasions. Beautiful setting in a spectacular Victorian Inn. Service is always friendly and impeccable. The top quality food is very tasty and prepared professionally and presented with care. Yes you pay for the quality, but it is worth it for the whole experience. We will always return a couple of times a year.

Wonderful date night with delicious menu options. Our waiter, Stewy, was very friendly and helpful. Great customer service.

Part of the Relais & Chateaux club, the Terrasse is classy. Not overseeing the sea, they have outside table in a cosy garden. Quiet with a nice service, dishes are well prepared. The only thing was that the lamb chops had a cheesy flavor that nobody understood from were that came ?‍♂️. The wine list is extensive with rather heavy prices. Overall we had a good time but regretted not to hv any sea view.
