My family and I came in for a drink for a friends wedding. The bartender was incredibly rude along with the bar staff. Everyone in the party got Id’d at the door and then once we were inside the staff made all of us get rechecked. When asking why the staff was rude. The bartender was yelling at a customer and overall this was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a bar. Plus the bartender with fake hair and fake lips took a picture of our party as she was walking by.

Really enjoyed this place. The short Rib, amazing. Surf & Surf, which is Lobster and Cajun Shrimp, is also amazing. The Seared Salmon special, with green pea risotto with asparagus, was very good as well. We are big sangria fans, so we tried it there, it wasn't our favorite, but otherwise, we really enjoyed it. Fun note: the guy who played Alex Kitner in the movie Jaws managed this place for twenty years.

I would give this place a negative 10. We were excited to have drinks there after a recommendation by Jesse at 19 Raw Oyster Bar, where we spent over $500 for dinner. We would have easily spent another $200 at The Wharf, however, the bouncer was rude and aggressive and told us he was from the island and "us outsiders" would ruin his business. He literally got up and chased my husband away. If you are a tourist, stay clear. And by the way, I have never seen an owner also be the bouncer, so if you; owner, are reading this: I highly suggest you hire people that have better that have better customer service skills. Last time I checked, islands like this survive on tourist income.

Excellent spot for a drink and a nice meal in Martha’s Vineyard. Far from the madding crowd, it felt like our private haunt the day we were there. Best crab cake ever, according to my cousin who uses this as her test recipe wherever she goes. The lobster salad could have used more lobster, in my opinion. Service was good, if a little obsequious, but then we are older and that happens. (Just talk with us like we’re normal people.) Get yourself a glass of the Veuve Clicquot champagne. Their flutes are beautiful and it absolutely sparkles with delight. Our favorite stop on a New England tour.

Good basic meals, made well, and tasty! Clean place with different seating. Our waitress was efficient, would recommend for couples or families.

My wife and I came to Marthas Vineyard for her birthday, while searching around for a pub that had good food we found The Wharf. Let me just say, those are some of the most friendly people working there and the food is great and not over priced. We have made it our daily lunch stop for a few drinks and lobster. I highly recommend dropping in, I promise you won't be disappointed!

Nice informal spot in downtown Edgartown. Service was excellent. Caesar salad was really good and quite large. Lobster rolls were scanty, no chunks of lobster meat...just some shredded lobster, not quite enough to fill up the roll. Fish and chips were good also.

The Wharf is a fantastic spot! The bartenders are super friendly, making you feel right at home. The Chef is outstanding — everything we tried was delicious and perfectly cooked. The whole place has a fun, lively vibe that makes it a great place to hang out with friends. Highly recommend for a great night out!

We only popped in for a couple of beers whilst touring the island travelling from the UK. The staff were amazing and even assisted in locating someone who I needed to speak to who lived locally. Great pint and stylish bar, dont forget to check out the jaws memorabilia too

Don’t go for seafood. Burgers and fries are ok. Everything is over priced with the kind of food quality they provided. Seafood is not fresh either. This is more like a sports bar so just go for bar food

I went in there to get a take-out dinner. I rarely write reviews but the unfriendly "service" by one of the waitresses deserves special mention. When she noticed me standing there, she asked me in an annoyed tone if she could help me, no greeting whatsoever. Well, duh! You work in the service industry, so you might as well act like it, huh? The lobster mac & cheese was okay.
