The service was horrible and a portugués woman (who works there) yelled at us and said bad words in front of my kid. She also discriminates my family for our language (we speak spanish) my kid was also crying from the womans yelling. Over all horrible service
-5/5. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Their sign outside that says half priced apps is a blatant lie. They not only tried to charge me for a beer that we never ordered or had, but they charged me twice what the appetizer could have cost. Food was meh. Much better places to eat on the vineyard that won’t lie and scam you.
Good service ervice
i had read the reviews on T.A. and thought it was a MUST when we went to Edgartown (i didnt realise there were 2 of them but the other looked smaller). i had expected Jaws movie memorabilia and a decent meal. there were none. just a plastic shark at the front and some shark themed kids colouring in. also it was miles out of Edgartown even though on "main street" which i hadnt expected. when we got there we had already had 3 rows ! i had hoped the place would make me justify the hike. it didnt ! ok the nachos were pretty good as were the margaritas. and the Brazillian guy who served us was great. but really.. dont think this has anything remotely to do with jaws or has anything about it. cos it doesnt. its a mexican with a bar and in that it is fine but dont expect more and be prepared for a long walk from centre of Edgartown. the other one is more central but i cannot comment other than it looked smaller and didnt seem to have anything about jaws in it either . i know Jaws is old news 45 years old ! but it is the reason i went to be honest. maybe i am d****
They put Tyson grilled chicken in the chicken tacos, DISGUSTING. Came here with 13 people and we were all grossed out by our food. One girl asked for queso and got the reheatable Tostitos queso, GROSS!!
Horrible food . A bar with taps but no beer in them. Wait staff was nice but the owner has the nerve to add automatic gratuity to take out orders.
The bottom line...great food with big portions. Our waiter was new...I mean first day new...but very friendly and trying hard. We had to make a lot of corrections, but he did it with a smile. Once we got everything right, the food was very good.
My friend and I stopped in to Sharky's Cantina after taking the "Jaws" tour on Edgartown. It's a small, unassuming place, but has interesting decor. I ordered the pork nachos (there are lots of options for your choice of protein), and I was uber-impressed! The guacamole and cheese, and especially the pork, were fresh and thoroughly tasty. It had the right balance of guac, cheese, and sour cream. I ordered the 9" offering, and wished I'd brought more friends to help me eat them! My buddy's meal was finished off in five minutes, so I know he enjoyed his repast as much as I did mine! We had some great conversations with the people seated around us, and the bar has a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. Our server was attentive and extremely helpful. We will definitely visit Sharky's again when next we visit the Vineyard. Thanks, Sharky's, for taking good care of us...and for the wonderful food!
The food is bland, no flavor. I don't even think they use salt. Not worth what you will pay for it. Go somewhere else worth your money. Service is suspect with staff that does not comprehend English.
Our food was terrible, my husbands steak fajitas were bad or something. We complained to the waitress - who didn't speak english that well - she said she was sorry - that was it. No manager came over to talk to us - and we just left. Will never go there again :(

Like so many restaurants, Sharky's seems to have been deeply impacted by the pandemic. It has always been a must-do when visiting MV. Over the past several years, we have enjoyed reserving a table under the tent for our large group and could count on decent Mexican fare to be served by friendly staff. During our most recent visit, Sharky's seems to have some pandemic battlescars. While the food and drink resembled meals of the past, they were served on/in paper and plastic, presumably because of the labor shortage. The server was OK, but that can be chalked up to it being the end of her shift; she actually left without giving us the bill. The restaurant seemed tired and in need of an infusion; I suppose we are all feeling that way after the past 16 months. I hope that Sharky's makes a complete comeback because Martha's Vineyard, and Edgartown, especially, need this type of restaurant that easily accommodates large groups and families.
Tex mex ok food. Wings were really fatty. Flavors were ok and service was ok. 15% is required upfront for takeout and then a tip is requested on top of this fee. They are upfront about this fee, though.
The chicken wings were excellent--many sauce varieties to choose from. They were cooked to perfection with lots of meat on them. We particularly liked the ranch and barbeque sauces. They were served with fries we=hich were very good also. Our server was efficient and pleasant. She offered some advise on menu items which was helpful.
Ordered margaritas which were great! Ordered wings cooked twice(well well done) came out cooked once, sent them back and they came bad worser than before. Looked like the chicken took 4 steroid shots before it hit the table. The waitress DJ was very kind to tend to us. The young lady he worked with delivering food after taking out the trash can to the back of the bar and didn’t wash her hands..... I am disgusted....gots to do better!!
Went here when Bad Martha’s was full last week. Order a Sharkys margarita which was putrid, then a frozen watermelon margarita which was putrid-er. Ordered a Bad Martha’s bottle but they had none. Weird, considering that brewery is literally a thirty second walk away. Settled for a warm Corona, served warm. Did I mention it was warm? I will say that the wings were fantastic, big and juicy, and the sauce that came with the jalapeño poppers (which themselves were horrible), was really good.
