Beautiful cozy atmosphere in the dining room. The host (owner?) was very friendly and made us feel right at home. One of our kids broke a glass and he made jokes while cleaning it up. It's clear that this place is a passion project. The food was delicious. Overall it's a pretty fancy place. We paid just under $200 plus tip for a family of five.

Had an absolutely wonderful birthday celebration this week at The Mill. We had a party of 9. Everything was delicious. I had the wedge salad, mushroom soup, and the grilled pork chop special with red cabbage and potatoes. Several in our party got the steak frites chicken parm, chicken with mashed potatoes. Everything was incredible. The desserts were amazing too! My fav creme brulee but the other desserts were very special. 10/10. Highly recommend.

We’ve been patrons of the old mill, aka, the mill, for over 3 decades. The owner used to be ingratiating to SOME regulars and was generally polite, if reserved, to us.
On our last visit he COMPLETELY lost his temper having, perhaps, over heard our table’s private conversation which pertained to his kitchen staff’s refusal to add some onions to our salad, an ingredient we had often requested and received without incident.
The owner began shouting, ordered us from the premises and even threatened to call the police, Shocking us. It was a completely hyperbolic response for one thing. For another it was an invasion of our right to free speech, misquoting what we said to one another since our voices were low.
Lastly he had had our patronage, and that of our family, for decades. We were staunch in supporting this restaurant’s efforts during the worst of the pandemic. We were regular guests, known well by the former friendly staff and generous with gratuities.
It’s taken us some time to respond to that night’s exposure to this unprovoked verbal assault. But finally it made sense to worn other potential diners that although this place can seem pleasant if you don’t mind up dealing with crowding, having no real handicapped access and challenging. Be forewarned that our visit ended with being bellowed at in a public forum and threatened with police action out of nowhere. In this day, it is something to consider when contemplating a simple evening out.

Wednesday night, the place was packed and deservedly so…. It was amazing. Despite being crowded, our host Terry seated us within 3 minutes. The food was amazing, the service was on point and the lounge vibe makes me want to come back soon. Thanks for a great night Old Mill.

Two words: Class Act. The owner/host Terry is a true English gentleman and the staff are wonderful. We, a group of four motorcyclists visiting from NYC, decided to have dinner here as it was close to our rental. It would be a while for a table as it was a Saturday night, but Terry offered to seat us at the “lounge” area which is a comfortable dark brown leather couch amongst the tables and made sure we were comfortable and took our drink order (New Fashioned cocktail is delicious and balanced). The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Food (creamed corn chowder, Berkshire pork chop) and desserts (coffee caramel sundae!) were outstanding. We are sure to visit again. Thank you Terry and staff for an excellent experience!

So happy Terry reopened this restaurant. The Mill has more of a lounge feel in the dining room. Menu is different from what the Old Mill was. Creative menu and still has the oysters I always get. Staff is courteous. Check it out! I highly recommend it.

From the moment we walked in we knew it was going to be special. We were greeted in the parking area with a smile and assistance with parking. Lovely flowers as you enter and a warm and inviting gentleman greets you at the host podium. No rushing, asking about our day. 😊
The interior is warm, cozy and you just want to linger.
Cocktails- strawberry special was amazing. The cod entree was delicious. Gluten free options available. Dessert options are plentiful! You will not be disappointed!

Absolutely delicious. Pleasant and attentive service. Lovely atmosphere. Well worth the visit.
Great service from the moment we walked in. Loved the decor and atmosphere. Dessert and appetizers were excellent. However, while a couple main courses were good the cod, mashed potatoes, & corn chowder dish was quite bland. The beer on tap was great.

Really sweet charming place. Very warm and welcoming. We were surprised how elegant the restaurant felt when we walked in because we were expecting more of a pub. The bar area is also small, atmospheric, inviting you to linger. Having been there a few times now, I’d say the menu is carefully thought out, but occasionally, the quality (freshness) and portions are hit or miss, but mostly hit. It’s a nice little neighborhood treasure and always an enjoyable place to go.

Delicious
I called to make a reservation for my birthday as I have always wanted to dine here. I was told they don’t take reservations unless it’s for parties 5 and larger. No problem. I just wanted assurance if I drive an hour that we can get in. I told the person I’ve never been there to know whether or not we can get in. His answer was “OK! Thank you.” He hung up without saying goodbye. I’m glad I didn’t waste my time and money. I think that pretty much gave me a great impression of how they handle customer service.
One of our favorite places for dinner in the Berkshires (or anywhere).
We will miss Terry snd the crew! 🥲
Can’t close too soon.
Owner rude to guests.
