The only experience was with the motel. It was a quaint and antiqued room. The location is fantastic. The room was booked as handicapped. NOT ACCESSIBLE AT ALL. We were told you could roll into the room and the bathroom, there was a 6 inch step up and a walker could barely fit in the bathroom (she couldn't close the door and use the bathroom). The room was freezing when we got there, and it took several hours to warm up. On top of that, we had to pull up onto the grass to unload, as there was a large curb completely surrounding the motel. It was a disappointment, as its location and natural surroundings were attractive. Rustic doesn't even describe the quality, as it has been many years since it saw any maintenance.Rooms: Not accessible. No microwave and questionable electric. Good for a quick stay if you are fully able.Noteworthy details: Not accessible. Do not believe them if they state it is.

The Restaurant is what I'm reviewing: It has an old nostalgic New England Charm unsurpassed by any of the areas wonderous old properties. You will adore their Clam Chowder, and they have wonderful Seafood in general. Overall, I can not WAIT to head back to this gem :)Food & drinks: Its somewhat pricey, so be ready to pay up, BUT they have a romantic Fireplace in Winter that cheers the soul. [A] drinks are available upon request.

I was not impressed with my stay there. Out dated is understatement. Wait time in restaurant is CRAZY!!! I have no plans of returning!!

This has become our go to breakfast place. Their omelets are my favorite, with the option of homemade breads an added treat. Everyone in our party ends up happy with their varied menu and we all leave, knowing we don't need lunch. Thanks for working so hard to make it all work. We appreciate it. ?

Stayed here for two nights last July. Comfortable and clean rooms and the owners were warm and welcoming. We also enjoyed a few meals at the restaurant and we were very pleased with the food and service. We'll definitely be back!

We went to the French king restaurant for their breakfast with a large group with a reservation. We waited 45 minutes for the "ONE" waiter to take our order and an hour for our food to come out ! That's an hour and 45 minutes before the food came out and then 15 more minutes to serve us all. The food was excellent and a good value and the waiter did a very good job for being by himself. I hold the restaurant responsible for not providing any help considering he had to wait on the whole room, not just us. Some people got cold coffee but the food was great. Definitely go here, it is really worth the trip.... Just don't go in a large group. I think we were there a total of Two hours and 50 minutes. The restaurant itself was clean and nicely decorated. There are "No" ramps here so you will have multiple stairs to deal with inside and out. The bathroom was clean and the location of the restaurant is very nice and convenient with ample parking. Bring your appetite because the plates are big depending on what you order ?Walkability: Restaurant is very close to motel making it convenient.Food & drinks: The breakfast is excellent and served all day.

Come here often. Saturday for dinner sister had baked haddock; I had the prime rib and hubby had chicken parm with Angel pasta. I love a rare meat and the P.R. was perfect. Came back for breakfast the next day and again was great breakfast. Eggs hash bacon waffles country fries. The location is perfectly located on Rte. 2. Plenty of parking. Staff friendly and prompt. If they have a function going on, the wait time might be a little slower but nothing major.Nearby activities: A lot...Safety: Safely located off Rte. 2 with nothing but woods surrounding...might see deer or other wildlife...but never ever saw any oddness as far as safety goesFood & drinks: Great food..

This restaurant is by the French King Bridge, named after the rock that French troops used as a landmark. Breakfast and lunch is available on Sundays. Dinner on Friday and Saturday.

Had dinner, it was great tasting, however, I ordered Chicken Marcella. I definitely didn't have chicken Marcella. My bill said chicken Parmesan....no not chicken Parm.
