Best Hostel/Hotel I've ever rested at. The location is a rock throw to famous Charleston Bunker Hill Monument and the heart of BOSTON and the Encore Casino. Covientstores under 5min and one directly across the street, Verity of Food places also that deliver.

The hostel is connected to the subway system with a bus connection (8 minutes on the Sullivan Square Orange Line) and within 30-40 minutes you can be in the city center. There is also a free early morning shuttle from the hostel to the subway station. The staff are all quite nice and the breakfast consisting of coffee, toast, (butter) jam, and peanut butter is the same every day. The only TV is in the lounge and you can watch something else by arrangement.Room:Double beds are quite spantan and are correspondingly old, and the mattresses are quite age-friendly. The windows cannot be closed properly and the rooms are quite noisy.WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS:There are 2 WiFi connections, both of which are equally unstable and not really good.Vicinity:Several pizzerias and McDonald's in each direction 10-15 minutes walk. The nearest larger Walgreen or CVS is 10 minutes away. Bus ride in Malden.

I stayed here for 2 nights to go see a concert at TD garden and had a very pleasant experience. The location is great and the rooms are well equipped with everything you may need. I’ve stayed in several hostels before and never had access to an in-room fridge like I did here. The front desk is so sweet! I accidentally forgot a very special poster from the concert I had been to and they were kind enough to retrieve it from my room and hold onto it until a friend could pick it up for me. My only tip would be to consider bringing your own towel as the ones provided are smaller than I preferred. Besides that, I would recommend staying here to anyone.

You got pros and cons here. I dunno what the hostel scene is like in the US so much but the rooms I would say are a little below average. Can't close the windows and near a busy road. The en-suite is a toilet and shower in the room shared by 6, I would prefer to have it outside the room actually. The other hostel is in a better location if you want to be walking distance from things. But it ain't so bad, the community feel is nice, lots of people are around the communal are for breakfast and coffee and it's real easy to make friends.I would suggest if you can get this for a decent amount cheaper than the other alternative hostel in the area this is a place to stay. Unfortunately for me they were priced similarly which is why I've given 3 star

This place is incredible. We were very last minute, every hotel we were checking was booked, and this place was a godsend. So clean, comfy, safe, and Miguel was so kind. If you’re in need of a cost saving place to stay - pls try this place out. So worth it and so thankful for them <3

Nice and helpfull staff, parking available. Location is ok, 15 min walk from nearest subway station. Breakfast included (toast with peanut butter/jelly/butter) and coffee. Nice and relaxing sitting area (with fridge), easy to check in. Also near the encore casino. They give you a free shirt, which is nice. Rooms are super clean with a private toilet, beds are ok. There are also some lockers. All in all good value for money.

Miguel is THE man. After days of traveling internationally he helped us tremendously by pulling some strings and getting us the most comfortable, clean, easy access private room. He was so kind and accommodating— couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Stayed only 1 night. The mattress was a little rough but linens were clean, as was the bathroom & mini-fridge. Small a/c to keep things comfortable. Keyboard entry to rooms and main building. Quaint pub with continental breakfast options.

Rooms really nice for a hostel, not too far out of the city but with traffic often more like 40 min drive, everyone working there super helpful! (Especially the guy with the tshirts and the housekeeper)

I spent 2 weeks in this hotel and my days were wonderful. firstly it's much better because you’re saving your money with this hotel. About their rooms, they are very clean and housekeeper come every day. Their toilets are renovated , very clean and luminous.Don't worry about the staff people☺️, they are very nice and helpful. I would come back for sure.

DO NOT STAY HERE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A SOLO, FEMALE TRAVELER!! I have no idea how this place has such good reviews, my stay was HORRIBLE. I would give 0 stars if possible.I stayed here because I wanted to practice the hostel experience if I ever get to Europe. What a huge mistake. I will never stay at a hostel ever again because of this place. I requested an all-female room and was supposed to stay for 4 nights but only stayed for 1. The second day I was staying here, WHILE I WAS SHOWERING (thankfully in the locked bathroom), a MAN came in the room and had just come in and fallen asleep in one of the beds. When I got out of the bathroom, I was completely panicked, and the front desk really acted like it wasn't a big deal and it wasn't their fault that they didn't check everyone's IDs of who would be staying in what rooms, and the room I was in was even initially (mistakenly) marked as co-ed. Oh, heck no. I was moved to another all-female room, which was empty except for one person who had clearly been living there for several weeks, literally to nurse a physical injury until she could get home, and I felt like I was completely invading her somewhat safe space. It's not a hostel, it's a halfway house. People literally LIVE here and pay week-by-week to do so, and that was happening at the front counter every time I passed by, clear as day. They advertise their cool lobby space, which is always full of older men (40+) who stare at you anytime you walk by, which was also confirmed to me by some other girls who were staying there. It's also in a pretty shady neighborhood, so waiting for your Uber outside or walking to the transit stations isn't super great either, and the advertised shuttle system (which I think is just one of the employees driving you?) didn't exist. I felt so uncomfortable and unsafe here, after the room mix-up incident I decided to just Uber to the airport in my pajamas in the middle of the night because I wanted to get out of there so bad, I knew I'd feel safer waiting overnight at the airport. I decided to change my flight to go home to the following day since I had already paid for my entire stay and moving my flight up cost way less than changing to any other hotel in the city.Oh, and I also ended up with a throat infection that put me in urgent care within a couple days of staying here.DO NOT STAY HERE. Please just find a hotel or there's a hostel I walked by in Chinatown that seemed to be much better quality.
