We saw a review online and thought we would try this place out. When we got there they sat us at a table with four seats.(there were 2 of us). So after we ordered coffee they came over and said they had to move us back a table to a table for 2 so they could seat another party where we were. Ok….but maybe they should’ve had us wait a few extra minutes for the table for 2. When we sat at the new table there was still a dirty glass from the previous party. We also watched them seat and move at least 1 other party. We sat for 50 minutes before our order was taken. We watched two tables that came in AFTER us get their orders taken. When we finally ordered it was another 20 minutes for food. The only hot food on our plates was the home fries. The over easy eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, bagel and toast were all cold. No butter on the toast. It was next to impossible to get the waitress’ attention so we ate the food as is. The worst thing over and above all of this was watching a CUSTOMER get up and go into the kitchen and pour himself more coffee!!! The coffee was actually IN THE KITCHEN. The cook was maybe 3 feet away from the coffee pot. I’m sorry, but if they let customers into the kitchen to help themselves….NO THANK YOU! We won’t be going back. North Ave Diner is directly across the street and has never disappointed.

From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the service. Our server was welcoming, kind, and helpful. I think her name was Kim, though I may be mistaken. The atmosphere felt comfortable and friendly, which set a nice tone for our meal.
I had the Biscuits and Gravy and enjoyed it. My friends ordered pancakes that were nice and fluffy and an omelette that was quite filling. We also had iced coffee and appreciated the different flavor options.
The food did not completely blow us away, but everything was tasty and satisfying. The great service and overall experience made it a visit worth repeating, and we look forward to returning

A small “not so hidden” (based on how busy they are) gem. Owner is kind and courteous with all customers and that I think rubs off on everyone that works there..they are all very customer friendly. It’s become a regular weekly stop over the past few weeks. The place is clean, right and welcoming. Whatever I’ve had - mostly sandwiches and wraps - tasted fresh.

It was our 1st time to Carol's. The food was excellent! Generous servings. The coffee was so good. The service was quick, attentive but not intrusive. The French toast which was delicious. It was cinnamon with powdered sugar and had real whipped cream in the side. The bacon was cooked perfectly. The egg, cheese and bacon bagel sandwich was so good. The egg yolk was a little runny for the perfect combination.

The food was ok portions could of been bigger. Nice atmosphere. Service was horrible was not offered more to drink didn't come over to see if everything was good or if we enjoyed the food. Definitely not going back try giving all customers attention not just your regulars.

Such a perfect breakfast spot! Visiting for HYROX and was looking for quality food. Got an omelette made to order and it was perfect, so many options. Also split banana chocolate chip pancakes for the table and they were some of the best i had! The staff was fabulous, the owner was the cutest and the atmosphere was so lovely!

Holy Crap!! Breakfast is by far my favorite meal and this place was absolutely amazing . The food was as if I made it at home. Service and prices were excellent. I highly recommend this place.

Ordered 2 sandwiches . They were steak bomb and chicken parm. The cook was reluctant to make the chicken parm but did and we waited awhile. We threw it out as it did not taste fresh. I also noticed that where the person cooks was not very clean and there was food on the floor. I went based on the reviews . I was hoping for a better outcome being a first time customer.. I was also going to bring the sandwich back as I hate to waste money. Thank you but I did not have a good first impression.

We had a large party with three babies in tow. Despite arriving during Sunday morning breakfast rush, our table was ready and waiting. The owner was patient with our lively crew, and everyone was so kind. This place is so charming, with the sweetest staff you could hope for.
